I am like you, if we talk about just the song I prefer something like Lay back or their side track. BUT I think that G.B.T.B is a PERFECT work. There is a perfect balance between the style of the instrumental, the lyrics, the outfits, the dance, the atmosphere of the mv and the set in general. For that I'm so impressive

I feel like people need to watch more verivery dance practices these guys are no joke.

G.B.T.B. was quite a slap in the face. I'm very into experimental stuff. You made a reference of NCT and I'm a big fan of their older experimental works. Of course experimental stuff is good when it's well executed. And, as you said, the song was good and the execution greater. It just feels like every moves and intents were meant to blend in the song and support it. The choreography. The futuristic mv (The emptiness of it? Like they were in some other dimension. Like stuck somewhere. The sound effects in the mv also supports this feeling so well.). I think this great execution is also well showcased on music shows. Side note I think they succeeded on bringing the concept on scene for real through their choreography and facial expressions. I really like their will to try new things while keeping with their concept and story since debut. It brings such depth to their work. G.B.T.B. is the kind of song I listen to let go off some heavy thoughts or get some motivation haha. Definitely different from Lay Back as you said. But that what's I found great. It feels like soon there will be a Verivery song for every mood. Isn't that cool?

I was not expecting this in the first listen Gbtb is really suprising

What I think is interesting is how this sets up for the continuation of the story, because unlike the others this is more of a set up on what will happen whereas the others show us what is happening. It’s surprising how all of it comes together between confusing visuals and more lyrics hinting to what is happening. I could write so much to how it play into the series but honestly I feel it’s hard to know where to start Even with how the side tracks really help establish the world that we have coming for us

I personally prefer their older styles too, but they still execute these harder concepts and sounds so well that I can't really complain.

I have to say this : I absolutely love the trends in current kpop, the heavy industrial synth production and edm stuff ...it's so futuristic and cool and that's something non-mainstream musicians use and do with their music in other countries and I think this is a very cool thing for kpop, which is a mainstream media ! Many people hate the trend and call it noise and I know that but I love and appreciate it! Many boy groups do that but I don't get tired of it when the production is good!

actually its one my fav songs this year I feel in love with it from the first listen the go beyond the parior parts is so catchy their vocals and choreo and raping is on point verivery never disappoint I give this cb 10/10

Well Verivery's GBTB is such a fire song with the vocals already but Dongheon and Hoyoung just set this one off to the sky..!! And the weird oppressed voice effect is so addicting..!!! Yes,their earlier lighter stuff is nice too but I just love how they pull off dark concepts just right. Its never too less or too out there. Just perfect for me.

Yeees I agree so much with you about the whole songs and choreos thing. I'm tired of the vision of music where everyone think that music is only about the sounds and voices and that we should systematiquely enjoy a song as it is, and if we don't then it's bad. I just love kpop for the whole audiovisual experience that it provides and I can't understand why people keep seeing that in a negative way.

PD! Thank you so much for reacting to our boys! Even if they changed their signature style the past year we can't deny that their albums are always top quality. I know that a lot of fans don't enjoy this kind of music but verivery just ... make it work somehow. I feel like FACE US is their most experimental album in the face it series, the producers they worked with are amazing (including themselves, "So Gravity" is a piece of art) Jelly is a company known for trying different concepts and styles of music so it makes me wonder what they are gonna to try next.

The rap is probably the best one I've ever heard this year. I also keep singing the chorus ever since it came out !

Dear god the production in this song is INSANE and the mv is gorgeous as well...I just wish the chorus was different, I never have any problems with the chanting in the chorus but but this is the first time that it doesn't work for me and I have to say that it's the only flaw but it's the chorus, the most importantly part of the song 😭 I also recommend PD and people in here to listen to their bside, "My face", the song is so creepy and fun and everything I love it, one of my fave 2020 tracks!

I loved this comeback so so much, the choreography was INSANE and its so nice to see them try something different. The first thing I throught of when I first saw this video was actually .. you. Lol. Or more specifically how you've sort of trained me, through your reviews, to look for weird lighting and boring, repetitive sets in music videos lol. I'm actually with you, I think the pure performance version works better. I don't like this MV, I was too distracted by these cheap sets that I've seen in every third music video and this dark lighting. But the choreo is SO freaking good! And that rap thoooooo. The music show stages for this song were actually good too! Even with six people (Minchan is on mental health hiatus), they adjusted it really well (shout-out to Dongheon and his secret room lol, which was probably busy for this xD). I love VV and I love what this song did for them, but it did take me several listens (mostly on music shows) for the song to grow on me. PS: I know you don't react to male soloists much, but I'd super love it if you checked out the new songs by either Ha Sungwoon or Park Jihoon (the soloist lol, not the guy from Treasure :p) or Woodz. Which are all bangers in my opinion, it is honestly a TIME for male soloist right now, here at the end of 2020. Just a suggestion tho. Love your videos, keep it up :)

Interesting that you said you think the song would have left a bad impression without the choreo. When I first saw the MV for this song, I wasn't really interested and just moved on. After some time I came back and watched the performance version for some reason, and it completely changed my mind. I was not a fan of Verivery before this, but now I'm obsessed. I'm sure you know already if you've watched Road to Kingdom (I hadn't before watching GBTB), but Verivery are incredible dancers. I think this choreography shows it more than any other song. So if you haven't watched the performance version MV, I really really recommend it. So incredible that it singlehandedly changed my opinion not just on this song but the group as a whole. edit: I made this comment before finishing the video, I see you've already checked it out haha

I waited for so long for this reaction :') When I heard the highlight before the release of this mv I was scared that maybe I wouldn't like it but I loved it from release and was obssessed with the song for such a long time, the album was an automatic download for me. I just love how every reactor goes crazy with the rapline here XD but yeah they are our dancing kings XD and even with such a song we also get our vocal line showing off their high notes.

I love the play on our ears with the muffled parts before the chorus. And yeah that dance break is INSANEEEE.

At first i didn't really like the shouting part but after a few listens it grew on me because i discovered that you can still hear a bit of a melody in it, especially during the "you can't beat 'em up yeah you can't beat 'em up" part. I think that's actually pretty genius
