your car control is so great. i am impressed. and yeah these days the servers are so random. one match 8 ping and perfect latency. next match 200 package loss game ... it makes no fun if the connection to the server is a gamble.

Servers are absolutely getting worse and worse. I will get regular disconnects, SECONDS after the fact, you will clear the ball out of the zone and then get HARD rubberbanded back as if nothing ever happened. Then to top that off, sometimes the entire server will just shut down, every player in the lobby experiencing high ping... Its brutal.

@@TenGrinches I haven't been getting these server issues in EU. Only had one game that the server kicked out my teammate and 1 member of the other team so it became a 1v1. Apart from that they've all been smooth

Fun server anecdote... last day of the season, I was doing a GC 3s torn, the late one with friends. 2 of us had 2 torn wins that season, so thought it'd be cool to go get the upgraded title... we are in the finals, win game one 7-2.. dropped 650 points... despite this, I played with a speed lag and ball teleporting/ boosts showing then disappearing for approx 60% of that game. Stable ping, no issues my end but luckily the opponents were clearly much weaker than us so confident of the win, even if the lag persists... then game 2 onwards, 100% of the game unplayable lag for my whole team.... discussing it with opponents in chat, they all also experienced moments of speedlag, but where for us it was basically 100% of the time... for them it was only in moments. So yeah, we lose and still barely. Epic games buying psyonix out seemed like a great thing for the esports side and a great thing for the game with their money and reach and the free 2 play changeover... Well.... Worse run esports with poor format, bad commentary choices, short season per year killing the esport side. Clear developer favoritism to other games at the detriment of rocket league I.e. rocket racing and fornite dictating rocket league changes like trading removal. Poor development updates and poor communications. Stale gameplay with largely useless changes besides the recent boost indicator. Bot and ddos / win trade cheating becoming a largely unchallenged issue by devs. And maybe even worst of all, the f2p change made it a game with more smurfs than pretty much any other game I've ever seen. Genuinely over 50% of any lobby over gc1 are smurfing. Every single game i play of 2s or 3s at GC2 has 1-2 new accounts on opponents team clearly piloted by high gc3-ssl players trying to boost their mates. Heck, ive run into washed pro players and content creators getting boosted by obvious pros on smurf accounts.

Servers have been really bad recently. I have great WiFi so it isn’t that bad, but my buddies with average speeds can hardly play.

I love how people are acting like the game and servers being bad is a new thing. Even winning feels bad 90% of the time and the playerbase is more toxic than LoL. Not to mention that casual basically isn't a mode anymore. It's just ranked and ranked with actual stakes. Whoever thought sbmm was a good idea for casual playlists needs to not be working in games anymore. RL is almost a decade old at this point, and there have been very little good major changes to the game in that time. I went from caring about my rank to just playing casual, then only playing customs with friends, and recently I just uninstalled. Pretty much a waste of hard drive space for anyone that doesn't live on it or make content. I know multiple people that have not just uninstalled on a handful of occasions, but also hid the game from their libraries. Pretty sad honestly, I used to have a lot of fun. R.I.P. Rocket League, cause I anticipate the games quality trending downward isn't changing any time soon.

@@oibara2 I was pretty much doing the same thing for the past few years I played. I certainly wasn't overdoing it in any sense. Even if I was, that has no effect on how the community acts as a whole, or how the game is being handled by Epic. I didn't grow out of it either. I love the concept of what RL was and can be. I'm not trying to argue that Esports are bad, but it definitely had a negative effect for most players. RL as a casual game is infinitely better imo. Gamers seem to think that every game needs to be an Esport. As a result I have countless amounts of friends that only play competitive games and then complain about how "there are no good games anymore." It's crazy to me how some people think playing a game like Slapshot Rebound competitively (in casual lobbies btw) and taking the hours to get good is worth more than the $60 it costs to play a high quality AAA single player game. I've tried getting them into fighting games which sounds like it would be perfect right? Nah, of all the games to choose from they would rather get good at party fighting games like Brawlhalla, SSB, and Mulit Versus. Then complain about how the game is so simple fundamentally that their efforts to get better are thwarted by casuals that just button mash or abuse certain mechanics. It's such a wack mindset to have across the board. I wish I could get some of my friends into games like DB Fighterz or SF 3 Third Strike. The feeling you get from doing hype stuff in traditional fighting games is unmatched by any genre, and with how competitively spirited a lot of gamers are you'd think it would be a match made in heaven. It's just really odd to me that most people think learning a fighting game isn't worth it, but dedicating all your free time to a game that's in as bad of a state as RL is.

The servers have been horrific for quite a while. But at least their adding cool stuff like boost indicators and demo pings. I'll take cheaters and trash servers any day as long as they keep bringing us quality updates like the last two.

I always skip the intro. Mr editor whats the point of showing spoilers just for the sake of adding an intro. Save your own time as well as our time, and just start the video with the game instead of the pointless intro
