My mom ordered the NES Game Atlas direct. She got a free year sub of Nintendo Power. The first issue we received had Donkey Kong Country on it AND in the rating section, it had Wario's Woods for NES. This was also one the last issues to feature the Nintendo Power Boy/mascot NESTER.

The SNES version's 2 player vs mode is incredibly intense. It's almost like playing Tekken when 2 knowledgeable players are going head to head with combo after combo. Each side going up then down while the announcer is like "Cool!" and "Hello!" And sometimes it says "Breakfast!" and an egg falls down.

@@DonutTPOTer I do not care for re-releases at all. Original or emu is the way. Not paying for the same IP twice, its not food and I won't allow it to be conflated with food or gas or a service of some kind. It's just IP. It should be free after a sane copyright period.

I had the Jungle Book NES game. It's one of those "WTF am I supposed to do?" kind of game. Ultimately you're supposed to defeat all enemies in order to progress to the next level, but the manual never mentions that.

In probably 1997 I went to toys r us to play the n64 demo machine, it was not out yet. They had copies of mega man 6 on clearance for the nes in their case. I bought one for like 15 dollars so that was the last nes game I ever purchased new and the only nes game they still had on their game cases.

Watching this made me realize that I've never played the last 5 games released for the NES. I'm definitely going to try Flinstones and Wario's Woods. A video on the last 5 Sega Master System games released in North America would be interesting.

One of them is Sonic the Hedgehog 1 Master System version in 1991. It sold nowhere near as many copies as in the UK & Europe, so they didn't bother releasing any more Sonic games on the Master System in North America.

Great idea Erin! StarTropics 2 was released in March 94, just missing your list. However, it was the 2nd to last NES game Nintendo itself developed. I'd almost like to see videos for both lists for various consoles: The last five games developed by the console maker itself, and the last five games overall for the console.
@ErinPlays

According to what I've read, these games were released after Zoda's Revenge. It was released in March 1994 in NA which is before these 5 games I featured.
@ChiefCoralcola

@@ErinPlays Correct. Your list was the last five licensed games made for the NES (made by any company ie Taito) . I just meant a potentially interesting additional list would be the last 5 games made by the console maker (ie Nintendo for the NES or Sega for the Genesis) itself for that console. Sort of a, here's what the company itself could do with the system at the end, versus what 3rd party companies could do with it. Hope that made sense. Sorry for any potential confusion!

@@roguerifter9724 good on you. Good thinking. My Xbox 360 hard drive is fine but I have to buy a new 360 slim to access it. I already got one, but the previous owner engaged family mode which makes the console completely useless. The other frustrating part is that the Xbox 360 will no longer connect to the internet because Roger's bought Shaw.... internet service providers here in Canada. Roger's doesn't offer 4G service, only 5G and the 360 is incompatible with that. But, even though you've backed your stuff up (back it up again to be safe!) I still suggest you play those games! My physical game collection is over 2000 games, digital doubles it, but many times I would buy digital games because of price and then never play them. So, you think you're saving money but you're actually burning it! Yikes!

Consoles’ final games can be interesting, I even own a few myself! The PSone’s last game here in Europe was either Schnappi or Shoot, I own Schnappi mainly because it’s tied to an IP I love! I also own the US version of The Lost World Jurassic Park for my Game Gear, it was the last game to be released for that system here in Europe! Freestyle Scooter may not be the best extreme sports game but I own it mainly because it was the last Dreamcast game to be released here in Europe. I would own more consoles’ last games but some are so rare and expensive, like The Smurfs Travel The World for the Sega Master System, or too violent for my taste, like Deep Fear on the Saturn!
