Have you experienced the North Sea's ferocity ?🌊 🌊 Known for its tempestuous storms, towering waves, and capricious tides, the North Sea presents a daunting challenge for sailors. The unforgiving weather, combined with congested maritime traffic, concealed shoals, and offshore installations, transforms navigation into a tension-filled ballet. Skippers perpetually confront the risk of collisions and shipwrecks as they contend with nature's might. Within this maritime battleground, true seamanship prowess is showcased, where only the most skilled can safely traverse the turbulent North Sea. The last clip will truly shock you

Thank you for your service. When I was in the Navy my ship entered the North Sea, this was back in '85. We had our traditional initiation to receive our Blue Nose designation. We were supposed to out on the bow as part of the initiation, but the Captain wouldn't let us, the waves were too rough, he didn't want any man overboard. So they dunked us in a tub full of ice instead inside the ship

Ya, the size of the small boats they had back then must have been a bumpy ride them and all of a suddenthe ship get crushed or flipped over or destroyed. Now in days the ships humans have biuld are more bigger and sturdier to withstand waves twice as big as them, and it fell less shaky and worse than what it was back then but still dangerous and injuries and deaths sill occur but unlike the small wooden ship where no one or just one survives. As a previous sailor in the U.S. Coast Guard I have been through similar seas up north in the Bearing Sea of Alaska and north in the Arctic Circle between the U.S. and Russia. For those Sailors who have been through 30-40 Feet swells all around the world, my respect to you. You personally know what it feels like to have gone through the hands of Neptune. For those of you who have never been at sea, imagine walking inside a ship on floors and walls as the floor under your feet is nonstop swinging like a parabola 180 degrees back and forth. You can also hear and feel your ship hitting a wall of water that feels more like a concrete wall. Your mind thinks it’s maybe your last breath every 30-60 seconds. You have to reteach yourself how to walk, eat, sleep, go to the bathroom, and of course work. All while trying not to get sick from your stomach and vomit. Your stomach lets you know you are alive. The Human Body was not born to be in such environments. I personally have seen people deteriorate and lose 25-30 lbs in 30 days because they are unable to keep food and fluids down. Those are the medical discharges.

Ex Navy, these storms really make me miss the ocean! Some days she'd be so calm it's like a sheet of glass, but when it starts raging, there's no comparison to feeling that raw elemental power. When hurricanes came, we would go out to sea in it to keep the ships from smashing into the docks. The weather decks would be secured, meaning nobody allowed outside, but I did go out and hung on to feel it, having myself a Lt. Dan moment lol
