West Ham should have never left the Boleyn. The place was historic. They should have looked at every avenue for an expansion. I'm sure they could have pushed the capacity to 45k.

This is heartbreaking for me as a Manchester City fan, gives me the emotional memory of leaving Maine Road. Funnily enough last time I went to the Boleyn in the FA Cup, we had that entire end and I was pretty much where this was filmed from. RIP The Boleyn and Maine Road.

I sold flowers outside ground. The landlord let me lock em up in celler. My grandparents lived three blocks away. Went to all home games and left early sometimes to miss the late goals. Especially from Ian Wright so famous for that. Sold out of flowers amd went home. Now that is a proper east end boy story.

Lived in London a good few years ago. Visited this ground and many of the rest of them as I picked and chose games to go to. This was BY FAR the most atmospheric ground in the city. White Hart Lane was great also but this was better and the fans were a great laugh. It is a shame WHU left here. Football is trading real connection with fans for money and swish stadiums. Some stadiums are great because they aren't shiny and comfortable. Extensions to stadiums retain their heart and soul, moving to ones like the Olympic stadium rip the heart out. In the last few years English Football has lost Upton Park, White Hart Lane and is soon to loose Goodison. These are cathedrals of English football in my view.

Upton Park was a much better place to watch football. The new place is more comfortable for those of us who need more space, but otherwise it's pretty shit.

Magnificent ground that. Should've just renovated the smaller stand. Olympic stadium is complete trash for football, even if the government gave it them on the cheap.
