The Komodo dragon is one of many of natures finest examples of evolution. Big, strong and possessing both a lethal cocktail of bacteria and dangerous venom. It’s no surprise that the species has lived for so long. Great video.

Great doc! Komodo is such a majestic creature, one of my fav animals. It's such a pity that many ppl hate them. Life is truly hard for young komodo dragons to survive into adulthood, yet ppl condemn them for hunting other animals to sustain their life as carnivore, ignoring how mother nature works. Long live komodo dragons! ❤️🤍

Our country has more than 17000 big and small island's stretch from west to east along the equator line. I would say, Nusa Tenggara Barat island's perhaps different from the rest. Yes, we meant it in a way that there are no top predators there, in Africa there are big cats, hyenas etc., there are also predators in India and still some pumas in Florida. But we get your point. It is more about the feeling like in the Jurassic park which you get on Komodo because there is really nothing to threaten the Komodo dragon.

@@avecmoi9429 It's misery may not have been what one thinks, i.e. it seems likely it was in a state of shock and/or full of adrenaline which acts as a natural pain killer. Animals often seem to be effected by pain in a different way than how we would expect to be in the same situation. In my own experience I have a dog who barely noticed when part of his ear was bitten off by another dog, and another that got into a fight with a stray and wanted to keep fighting even as I held him back and he was bleeding from a hole in his head (thankfully not as serious a wound as it initially seemed).
@Ryodraco
@Ryodraco 4 жыл бұрын
@@avecmoi9429 No worries, though keep in mind I'm not exactly an expert. Another way to look at it is that animals seem a lot better at dealing with pain than people are (i.e. it's one of the issues that one runs into as a pet owner, as a pet often won't even exhibit signs of discomfort until an illness or injury has become severe). It can be helpful in general though to not anthropomorphize. Creatures often have quite different priorities, wants, feelings, etc. than humans do.
