I like The Last of Us 2, but this kind of thing occurs so frequently that eventually I just started laughing every time it happened. I'm not sure that's the reaction Naughty Dog was going for, but at least I had fun.

This game really makes you _feel_ like you're getting blindsided. 1:52 Getting jumped while you're in the middle of customizing your weapon was actually pretty cool. Didn't expect that at all.

I was so fuckin freaked out when I was minding my own business, upgrading a gun and all of a sudden there's a man tackling Ellie. Amazing ambush position tbh.

Dead space did come to mind when i saw that clip. And yes in Dead space 1 in like the first 30 min of the game you can see a Leaper crawling a window while you are using the upgrade bank but doesnt attack you. And in DS 2 close to the end of the game a Divider attacks you while you are using the upgrade bank.

That and the placement of ammo/supplies in the boar section were such clever ways to subvert expectations, like you saw something running around and thought you were about to fight infected cause there's ammo lying around but it's just the boar and the chapter ends.

Don't forget all the "oh my god thank god you saved me at the last possible moment" scripted sections. Just off the top of my head: *Spoilers* Abby saved from infected by Joel in beginning, Ellie saved from clicker by Dina in grocery store area, Dina saves Ellie during interrogation at school, Joel saves Ellie from bloater in flashback, dog saves Abby, Abby getting hanged/arm breaker scene, Isaac about to kill Abby, Abby getting choked by Tommy then he gets knocked off into the water, Tommy saving Ellie from Abby. All these shitty last minute action movie saves, 1st game didn't pull that shit.

It's been awhile. Unfortunately the game was a mess from what I've heard. I'm also disappointed that it wasn't 60 Frames PerSeconds after seeing a Trailer. I felt like I was misled. 😑

The game is good as hell. Uncharted 4 was 30fps so everyone expected The Last of Us to run the same. Just wait for when they release the remastered version in like... 8 months.

@@aapferb694 I've seen the cutscenes and I didn't like it. It was terrible. I've heard from some of my Subscriptions about how bad the story was, even a Korean Player decided to cut his Physical Copy in half.

Cannot believe how divided the internet is on this game. Personally I like the game. There was a lot wrong with it though, and can easily see why people don't like the game.

@@art07091 It's definitely not for everyone. There's people who hate Doom Eternal, but it's easily one of my favorite games ever. You take the good with the bad and enjoy it for what it is.
