I just bought the easiflex 70 mm mattresses to get away from the bloody sand it is good for cows but a living nightmare when it comes to the slurry and quite frankly I am sick and tired of dealing with the stuff. I have enough to do without having to spend hours a day messing around with sand and the consequences of it. We're not big enough to have a guy do what Andy does in this operation.

Andy- a few years ago I ran into a similar issue with excess sand in the pit, I found a 32”x90’ stacker conveyor for $10k, converted it to a hydraulic drive and mounted paddles on the belt to help carry sloppy sand. Set it up in the pit we run it with a large pto driven hydraulic pump and load it with a loader. Makes hauling out fast and a lot cleaner. Trucks stay out of the pit and a hell of a lot cleaner and the loader makes shorter trips to the hopper. Since putting it together we’ve used it a couple times and now I’m renting it to neighboring farms. Probably have about $18k into it as it sets.

Several years ago I visited Cinnamon something farm in Iowa; they had set a record of corn yield at 306 bushels; no chemical fertilizer; all their yield came from a hog feeding operation where they broke even on feeding out hogs; purchased all the hog feed; but what they gained on the process was the rich hog manure they used to grow all their crops, hence the 306 bushel corn per acre; worth looking at their operation. They also use robotic milking machines on their Jersey cow herd. Worth a visit if you ever get the chance.

Andy take a identical bucket or similar one that matches up with the one on your wheel loader- cute it in half and weld each half on existing bucket, you will be about 16 foot wide with the bucket . Works could for what you're doing and snow removal, loading manure etc . Works great did it on924k handles it fine . Your loader is much bigger, will handle it just fine!

Yup, heavy dense loads. Hence my comment on the last video. Some people don't fully understand, it's the weight and you can easily break the back of a truck. Seen it happen before, not a pretty sight. The good thing about this is, you're keeping the truck beds nice and shiny. Great video as always, cheers :)

That sandy manure is heavier than people think. The farm I work at cleans the pit like this more often than using slurry tanks. Only has one tank vs 2 box type spreaders that can move the manure faster that way. I know that pit it pretty good size but I know yours has to be bigger. And you have more than one pit🤣
