I love how in episode one they went out of their way to show Joel and Sarah avoiding eating flour - no pancakes, birthday cake, she didn’t eat the raisin cookies or biscuits, etc. A great clue that it started at a grain factory.

So excited to watch this with you! I played the game (and replayed it last year, when the show aired) and a lot of scenes and some dialogue are lifted DIRECTLY from the game. It starts with you playing as Sarah, waking up to an empty house like in the first ep, the truck ride through the town, sometimes it was shot for shot. The escape from the QZ is very similar, too, going through tunnels, avoiding FEDRA. In this ep, the hotel to the museum to the state house were pretty direct copies. It was kinda awesome to watch with how faithful they were to the games. Very much that Leo pointing at the TV meme. Something they don't really explain in the show, but y'all keenly picked up was the levels as the infection progresses. In the game, you get names. [Read on for game lore if interested. I promise only info regarding what you've seen.] First two stages are Runners and Stalkers- early infection, fast, still have sight. After at least like a year of infection are the Clickers- can no longer see due to the Cordyceps deforming their face, so they echolocate. In the game, Clickers are pretty much a one-hit kill sub-boss. You have to be stealthy and try to avoid them at all costs (unless you have specific weapons).

You guys got it. At the beginning of ep 1, you can hear a news report in the background during that breakfast scene that mentions incidents, i think, happening in Jakarta, indonesia. So it was super vague

Tlou is a great show.. its such a mental inside yourself kinda show... Yhe fungus scares the crap out me cause for the most part the infected act as science would doctate.. thats mad.. ylou has always been about the human aspect tho... Way more dirty n lethal.. but how yhe infected are presented is so unique and actually so special... Some infected storylines from the game and this show make me cry..like tess for instance..

The people who are infected are still alive, but seems like they don't react to pain. So doing damage won't stop them like a normal person they don't stop until they are dead. But I'd assume if you shoot them in the heart theoretically it should still be lethal

You guys are cutting out way too big of chunks out of the show, you cut out the site of all the infected on the ground and the talk Tess had with Elli, then the whole scene of Elli and Joel on the rooftop? Also, you don’t have to cut out the swearing, it’s literally a huge part of Ellie’s, in particular personality. I’d make your episodes a bit longer, even with editing they’re too short.😊
