The Last of Us 3: CONFIRMED BY NEIL DRUCKMANN!!! (NAUGHTY DOG)
So almost four years after The Last of Us 2 and its ending we got some confirmation that The Last of Us Part 3 is coming from Naughty Dog as Neil Druckmann creator of The Last of Us confirmed in the Grounded II Documentary that there’s one more chapter to the story of The Last of Us which will be The Last of Us Part 3! "The Last of Us 3" will likely have the return of Abby and Ellie. The Last of Us 2 ending clearly to me sets up The Last of Us Part III the sequel. Could we see a NEW Playable Character in a new Last of Us Game? Remember The Last of Us 2 director Neil Druckman has talked about its potential and that there is a plot written for The Last of Us 3. He doesn't yet have a story planned out for a sequel, but he does "have a concept" for another game that will be its own thing, but will also "act like a through-line for all three". What could this mean for the story of The Last of Us Part III from PlayStation and Sony let's discuss! 2500 Likes?

Unless you're going to show Tommy's past in a DLC it would have to come after part 3 because the injury Tommy sustain because of Levi's arrow wouldn't make him mobile enough go on adventures by himself, so it wouldn't be feasible for him to do anything right after part 2, but during part 3, years would have passed where it would make sense that he's healed up enough to be back to himself somewhat

Here’s an inescapable fact: Part one was recently remade so it could look as polished as Part 2. Part 2 was also remastered in order for a cohesive experience between both games. Especially for those unfamiliar, and coming from the series to the game. The only thing that makes sense is for a third game to be released within the same window to allow for more cohesion between all three games. I suspect we will be seeing or hearing about a product further into development than publicly implied. The window is closing to allow a similar fidelity between all games, and I see no escape from this obviously intended scenario.

If part one was about love, and two was justice, I think 3 will be about retribution. Maybe it’s 10 years into the future and Abby comes across her fathers old texts and learns from a mentor on how to create a vaccine. Ellie on the other hand, finds the loving person who she once was and decides to sacrifice herself so that her life’s has meaning. Ultimately closing the story with them coming together and trying to create the cure.

i feel like a great third chapter would be to focus on how ellie adapts abc into jackson. and how tommy will react to her telling him that she didn't get vengeance on abby after all. maybe tommy goes after abby himself? maybe elie deals with her decision for some time but revisits it some time after. also have to think about possible vengeances for the people who were lost in the process of going after abby. i just hope there is a chapter three some day

Since it took part ll 7 years in development time to come out, I don’t expect the game coming out til 2029, unless they happen to showcase it, but the release date will be its own thing entirely. Especially since they got the show running, and they did say it’ll take multiple seasons to tell part ll’s story. Maybe they’re likely to tease something in the end, where we haven’t seen before from the games in regards to part lll.

The Last of Us was my first real console game, it's the game i asked for when i got my PS4, it's the game I continually go back to, to watch and play through the story, each time falling in love with game again. Playing the game as the episodes for the TV series brought me back to where I felt like EVERYTHING was just... incredible, amazing, original, and full of fresh and new ideas. The heart that went into everything The Last of Us related, it... takes my breath away. It will always be a game, That i look back on and absolutely love, no matter if it's part 1, 2, or the series.

There can be many concepts to the next story .tommy and Joel when the out break first happened .Abby coming back for Ellie after finding fireflies and wanting to find a cure to the infection maybe .JJ going missing and Ellie having to travel to get him back .Jackson being run over by Abby and a different group with more weapons and stuff and Ellie goes back on revenge mode idk I’ve been coming up with theories for a while now 😅

Best thing they could do with Tommy is do a prequel showing his perspective between Sarah’s death and him either leaving Joel to join the fire flies or to him leaving the fire flies. I think it would be interesting to flesh out his relationship with Joel especially when Joel was at his lowest point and them being hunters. I’d imagine Tommy saying with Joel out of love until they eventually fall out. Maybe bounce between the past and present of This Tommy coming to terms with his present life and Joel’s death. MAYBE bounce between Tommy and Ellie maybe finding the fireflies again…That’s a hard maybe because it would be a lot already

I mean in the documentary they did say that they underestimated gamers with the first lou2 trailer and Joel’s death forcing them to be misleading in other trailers. It wouldn’t surprise me if they are much further ahead in part 3 than they’re letting on and are being extra secretive after the leaks.

What i do know is that they will be extra careful not to let anything leak out like last time so im sure the story is done and the development is starting. I really dont think they will even release a trailer until the game is completely done As far as the story goes im sure they will join Ellie and Abby back up in some dramatic way and end this the right way with Abby dying for Ellie with Ellie using herself for the vaccine or something. But I'm positive it will have good closure

Love a part 3, hopefully it happens someday. We have no idea what are the scope for the new IP and part 3 will be, so it's hard to guess when the game will come out. in true ND fashion, they always try to make game bigger then the previous game, and when they do that more time likely going to be needed. If I were to take a guess, the new IP would be 2026 or 2027, and part 3 will be 2028 or 2029. Anyways, I am looking forward to the new IP as well, just give me a release day and I will be there day one.😸

I think they could tell the story of how Joel and Tommy made it to Boston. Go and forth between Joel and Tommy and Abby and Ellie you bring back Joel which a lot of people where so mad when they killed him off I know I was very mad. I would like this game hopefully it's what they are doing.

And this is how rumors starts. 😁 "There's PROBABLY one more chapter to the story" Even though it most likely will happen some time in the future. 'Probably' is still not the same as 'Confirmation' That's why you don't say "maybe" to your kids, if you're not certain. Cause they will interpret that maybe as an absolute YES. 😉

C'mon Niel. The story is looming large... you have not finished Ellie's story yet. She is the saviour of mankind and she's gonna need a lot of help with that. Abby and Ellie lost the same thing they held most dear to them and they gotta be on the same path, there's a parallel there, provided Ellie can come to terms with that (i'm sure she can). But the big question is, will she sacrifice herself for mankind at the last moment, or is there a way she can survive it? I predict a big journey for Ellie and Abby, set around 5-8 years ahead of LOU2 (need the gap for other spin offs), to find a scientist that can do it in LOU3, with friction from Tommy, and many others I'm sure. It's what Ellie was angry about when Joel told her what he did - it was her decision. That set up LOU3 right there. Amazing! Can't wait. If you need help, I'm all over it hahaha

The concept for last of us 2 was a random dude at the end of last of us one is the last of us 3 is the same this is controversial but I would like to see Ellie lev Tommy and abbey rejoice snd create a community together I think this because the leaks is 4 characters in ellies house I think the enemy in this game would be a cult that slaves infected because there was people doing that when ellie was finding abbey the way that i think the plot would work is Tommy explaining to Ellie that Joel wasn't a good person even though what happened to him and I think abbey would agree because she would see that within herself as both of them are likely to die for there faction as there fathers did and the reason they would find eachother is to create a new community on Ellie's farm because they genuinely would want to unlearn the fuedalism that killed or tearer apart all of there loved ones

It would be cool to see part 3 where half of the story is joel, tommy, tess and Ellie's mom before ellie is born. The other half is wrapping up ellie's story. I know a lot of people had a bitter taste when joel died too soon in the part 2. I think this is the only way to make it up to those people.

Dom you always crush it. Who could be sick of TLOU 3 talk? As I’ve said before, I’m going to say 2027 perfect symmetry between games. I hope they consider an entry that maybe is a little more positive in nature. I know Druckmann not big on happy endings but maybe at least something that gives hope. I find it extremely interesting that in show they showed nature of Ellie’s resistance is BLOOD borne. So I still contend that Abby and Ellie should get together to solve this without killing Ellie. Abby is the dudes daughter so I’m sure she is capable. How would THAT be for redemption??? Cut away to FEDRA AND FIREFLIES rolling out vaccine in the Boston qz as we roll credits…..

Whats going to happen is they'll be dropping a different game. More years will pass. Then they'll make it and announce it. Probably doing this because there will be more hype because of the division of part 2 . Right now people are pissed and he's tired of people complaining.
