It’s crazy how much of this - especially the scenes with Ellie - actually looks like it was taken directly from the game. This is insanely well made

We never meant to set any expectations but this amazing group of people took us on a big journey. We really did the best we could without having very little film production or acting experience. The cinematography is fantastic, and the performance of Ellie is fantastic. Some of the casting obviously had some accents that were harder to overcome, and some of the cast perhaps could have been better, but that's understandable given the nature of the project. Otherwise I think it did a pretty solid job for a fan film, congrats!

I've followed the progress of this film from day 1 and let me just say WOW! This film was beautiful, so much better than I could have wished for. The cinematography, acting, makeup, music and literally everything are all perfect! Everyone on the team should be so proud of what they have acheived together. This film takes everything I love about TLOU and amps it by 1000% I would love to see a sequel but even if that doesn't happen I am overwhelemd at how amazing this was! Well done everyone!

What breaks me at the end is when Ellie pushes the door of the farmhouse and she discovers her empty house... Dina finally abandoned her, she left, she didn't wait for her... It's understandable on her part but on the one hand it's the worst end for Ellie... She who absolutely didn't want to end up alone, it's the most tragic fate she could have known... I've never seen such an emotional, sad and touching ending after Karin's from shadow hearts 2... just like the game by the way, real poetry and a burst of action like the first one... Élie à all lost, Tessa, Sam, Joël, his girlfriend with and his child, then his fingers to play the guitar... part 2 shows how much the story of The Last Of Us, it's simply humans and the consequences that brings... also based on revenge, the instinct of survival, the fact that humans devour each other... it's a beautiful reminder of everyday life honestly. Thank you so much for 20 long minutes of work you did to be watched!! 😢 ✊

i like the different interpretation of joel’s death. i the actual story, she never went over and held his body and said angrily that she was gonna kill everyone, but with this change i feel like it makes it a lot more angry than the actual story where it’s just utterly depressing

Cinematography was absolutely stunning. As a young filmmaker student who is hoping to study film at uni, this was purely inspiring. I’m also a huge fan of the last of us and you guys have done an amazing job. Congratulations to the whole team ! This was amazing!

When I seen guys was working on this a while back I was like oooh so excited. Sadly I work on that day it comes out. So im like ughhhhhh I can wait tho. Got to work. Knowing me im going to watch 15m of it on break. Then 30m on lunch and I have a nother 15 so ill watch it again. Thats what I did with a show I loved.

this was amazing!! I just recently finished the game, so I'm still processing the trauma - and this brought back all the feels ahhhh!! It's always so magical to see how a story/fandom can bring so many amazing people together and inspire them to create something this beautiful!! So much passion, love and talent went into this, it's truly remarkable!

Hey, First, this is fucking incredible. The fact that we can watch this for free on KZfaq is unbelievable, and I would like to thank you guys for making such an impressive movie. However, I would like to give you guys some feedback on this. Please keep in mind that this is all my personal opinion and even the things I'm going to criticize are just some small details and complaining at a very, very high level. Again, this is free!!! So let's start with things that this move did perfect: - Foremost, I would like to point out the camerawork and the cinematography. Everything just felt right, the movements of the cameras were very smooth, the lighting was good. The shots were in the right angels, nothing felt like it was out of place. I also really liked the opening credits, these shots looked amazing and reflected the post-apocalyptic world very well. - The editing is outstanding. The colors look great, cold colors when you were flying with the mini 2 in the winter or when they killed Joel, warm colors when you were in the woods with Dina which is a part of the movie where it's more about friendship and stuff like this. Overall, very well done. - The costumes are looking incredible. The clicker... JUST HOW? - I also really like that the window in 12:05 is almost looking like the title screen from the first game, not sure if that's an Easter egg ;) - Also, you guys are acting incredibly good. Like true professionals. - The Details are tremendous. I mean, just the fact that Elli is walking through houses, looting them just shows how much attention to details you guys have put into this movie It's very easy to judge if you're sitting home in front of your TV and you weren't involved in the production, I know that and I'm trying to hold myself back a bit to respect your hard work. However, I'm now gonna talk about some points that (!! I THINK = MY OPINION!!) would make the move even better (By the way, I'm specifically not saying "could have been done better" because with the budget and experience you guys were having, this is already the best it can be). Also, as I said before, this is complaining at a very high level. I'm also just an ordinary guy who just loves movies, and is also doing some movies in his free time, but not at this level. So keep this in mind. At some places, I felt the story was a bit... Yeah, off. For example, when Joel got killed, Elli was screaming and shouting like in the game, which was excellent. But when she woke up and Joel was actually dead (yk when Maria and Jesse came in), she just crawled to him, gasped a bit and then told everyone she was gonna go and kill everyone. No crying or something like this, something that you would do if you would lose someone you love. She was angry and full of hate, but I couldn't really see sadness or grief in this scene. She was like, "OH no, is he dead? Yea? Anyway, let's find them and kill them". As a viewer, you just could feel the hate, but not the sadness like you had it in the game. But again, shooting a scene like this is incredibly hard because you have to pack so many emotions into one scene. Considering you guys were just having very little experience, you did really well. Just as a small sidenote Also, a lot of these shots were Abby and Elli walking through the woods and talking about the feelings they had for each other and all that stuff. Don't get me wrong, it's a great way to tell a story and to make the viewer understand what is going on and what the motives of the protagonists are, but in this case, the screen time could be used to introduce other characters, like Jesse for example. If I would have been someone who just played the first part and Elli said "And they killed Jesse", I would have had no Idea who this guy is. Yeah, he was with Maria in the cabin, but why was he with Elli and Dina? Wasn't it just Dina and Elli at first? Where does Jesse now come from? I think a small scene where they meet in the woods for example would have been a good Idea to just make everything more clearly. This would also bring more diversity into the move, as there were very few actual dialogs in the movie. But again, to break down a story that has been told in at least 15x of the time of your movie, is incredibly hard and even some big movies from Hollywood are not getting this right. In conclusion, this is a solid 9/10 for me. I'm sorry, but I have to point out again that this is free for everyone to watch. I really appreciate the time and effort you guys have put into this and I'm definitely supporting you again in case you are doing another movie together. Much love from Germany, keep it up

The game was clearly ahead of it´s time. I used to hate Abby on my 1st playthrough but now I just love her character, I get why she did the things she did... and I would have done the same thing as her.

It's genuinely insulting the thumbs down this film is getting. Do ya'll know how much effort something like this takes with THIS level of care and detail? Regardless of what you think of TLOU2 you gotta recognize this is a true labor of love created by people who genuinely strive to make next level content. Congratulations on the film ya'll. This was amazing. Everything, from the shots to the acting is soo good. The thing that I really like this is the story telling and tge sequencing of it. I would go as far as to say that this film is better than the game's sequencing of the story. All in all its a very good film. You captured the emotions of the characters so well.
