Bill standing in the middle of the road makes him the obvious visible target, which means raiders has less chances of targeting anywhere near Frank and more chances of keeping him safe. There’s a lot more nuances that make this episode one of the best episode of television ever.

I liked Bill and Frank as a couple more then I liked a lot of the short-term Walking Dead couples. It just felt a lot more genuine and well put together in a single episode. Good acting and directing.

People that say they hated this episode because it wasn't "true to the game"...are straight up lying to themselves and are too hesitant to say what they really hated was the gay content. The fact that Neil Druckmann was 100% for the narrative changes and that Troy Baker lists this as his favorite episode should gives you a clue as to how a true TLOU purist would receive this episode.

It's funny but I bet the "purists" wouldn't have gotten angry if we had gotten a Tess origin episode even if it changed lore. They were just mad about actually SEEING a gay character. They were happy just getting "hints" of Bill being gay and having a "partner" as long as they didn't have to see it. This episde was just beautiful and gave the characters the story they deserved, and it all makes sense if you see it as the result of Bill agreeing to ONE change, which was opening up, which in the game he couldn't do and lost Frank. It's amazing. Bill's section of the game was literally shoot stuff, get a car, leave. Here, Bill's letter to Joel had such a profound impact in the season.

"You're a prisoner in your own body." PERFECTLY SAID!!!!!! I don't have Parkinsons (which I think Frank had) but I do have rheumatoid disease. As someone who had her own business, was my own boss, independent etc., this disease really f***** me up. Some days I can't even get up without help, open a bottle, brush my hair, walk, etc. Having to rely on others to help with the most simplest things really beats your soul down. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. So I definitely get where Frank was coming from ❤

They changed alot in this episode from the game this episode is focus more of Bill story' but they doing a great job for bill and Frank character in the show. In the game bill is kind of lonely angry man who help Joel to get a truck and battary. Frank is dead from hanged himself because he got bit when he leaving bill(they got arguments, Bill meet Joel and Ellie after Frank leaves). Bill is not dead in the game but we not see him again after that. In the show is basiccally was like "what if" Frank not leaving bill after they got arguments. They might be dead in the shows but that is not bad ending for them this is much better ending for bill and Frank character then the game. The last shoot with the window open is like a screen menu of the last of us game.

Man, the opening scene about the shot hits different after EP. 9. That backstory wasn't in the game... Great to revisit after seeing it all.
