I am sure we will bump into each other again down the road somewhere as this great van life journey of ours continues.... Safe Travels.
My name is Chrome i have been living in y cargo van for 6 years now. I started this lifestyle BROKE and IN DEBT and after t11 months of living the van life i cleared my debt and started to put my life back together and build for a better future. I have turned my original van into a badass camper van that is lifted with all the toys. Over the years i went from being broke and stealth camping in the city and sleeping at walmarts... to now, living fulltime in a jacked up van and driving deep off-grid into the backcountry and living life in the dirt. WOW LIFE HAS CHANGED.

Wow...I don't know why I'm so moved by this...I was delighted when you two got together, and especially when you continued with your own homes, together yet apart. This is what adult relationships look like. No screaming and shouting, having conversations together and realising when it's time to move on. Sending much love to you both. I agree, and we don't know know why they're going separate ways. Chrome recently said having Emi on the channel dropped views and subs, so the decision to split may be financial. Hopefully this return to solo content will improve the situation and cover his trip expenses. That fuel cost is crazy!

I totally get why Emi tanked his ratings. I stopped watching her long ago due to her constant giggling. I didn’t hold the giggling against Chrome because his content is interesting and his videos are epic, but I couldn’t see the value in her postings. That said, she will do okay because Chrome taught her a lot, including how to get sponsors. Thank you, Chrome, for sharing your knowledge and equipment with a newbie.

As the song says, “breaking up is hard to do”. I’ve been divorced twice. I find the best approach is to try to move on and attempt to no longer think about the other. I wish the best for both of you, but I will never watch either of your channels again.

I don't think I've ever been so heartbroken over two people becoming only one again. You must do what's best for you, and I know vanlife is often a solo journey, but Emilie and Chrome this was an emotional end to an epic journey between two amazingly grounded and special people, who have become more like friends to many. @@rocky32042 Keep things in perspective people because death or be sent to jail for life is worse. Just because they go their separate ways now it doesn't mean they can't change their minds later. Maybe it's a simple case of one of them can no longer afford to be on the road anymore and needs to get a tiny apartment and the other one does not.......Don't forget Chrome and Em's families are on different sides of Canada. Maybe her parents are getting old and need her......in the end it is not our business.

@@rocky32042 Chrome mentioned a few videos back that having Emi on the channel dropped his views and subs, and no doubt this trip is expensive so maybe pausing the relationship was a financial decision. I wouldn't be surprised seeing the romance rekindle after the trip is over. But for now I'm definitely hyped on solo adventures!

Yes, like my husband and I, I am introvert enjoy the quiet life, my husband can be both introvert and extrovert. The extrovert part of him can be difficult for us. I get if it was emi who ended things. It's hard when you are opposites. Chromes time was spent elsewhere, other then her being a main priority. That is how I see it. I may be wrong. Or he ended it. They are not saying.

@lifechanges557 I think Chrome is like a big kid who never grew up, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, in fact I think we all could live life like that. Emmi is more of a quiet, reserved person, and again, there is nothing wrong with that as well. I wish them both the best! 🚐 🚐

I feared this from the time you announced yourselves as a couple. I hoped for the best but somethings Chrome said way back about preferring to be solo led me to doubt things working out. Hopefully you will remain friends. It's no surprise to me to see you split and I've been anticipating it for some time now as there's been noticeable clues, for sometime now it's felt like you were trying to figure out how to break this to us in a way that wouldn't be harmful to your channels. Sorry to see the two of you part ways after such a long time together. But to those who have watched the both of you.. I knew this was going to happen. You both have your own style and wants and needs for what you call van life. Yesterday was a classic example. Emily went to the wild camp ground to enjoy her style of van life. And Chrome went off roading all day to explore the back country and all that had to offer. Running his drone.. entertaining all of us in ways we will never get to experience. Eating the dirt and trying hard to not let the smoke and fires bother him. Emily if given a choice can do that.. make a choice to travel elsewhere. Am sure you both will have a life time friendship that will never end. Love to you both from Rhode Island USA.

Yup, I mean I love them both and if they wanted to stay a couple they could do it, but it would take a bit of work because truthfully they're opposites in a lot of ways. Opposites in travel styles is the main one but other things too.

I mean there's only so much of being a couple 2 people can do if they're so seldom in the same place, and the rare times they are 1 of them has ants in their pants and can't sit still and just enjoy the scenery to save their life, lol (nothing against wanting to move and go adventure and such but they have such different paces of life quite frankly this doesn't exactly surprise me)

I'm sorry to hear the both of you going your separate ways. My wife and I after 30 years of marriage left me about four years ago. Watching this video brought back that sick feeling in my stomach when my wife left. Even after four years of being separated I'm still trying to work it out with her. Some people can understand why I'm still around... but I'm in love with her. Hope the best for the both of you.

Ya, Emi is a catch. She has a lot of skills, is humble and is a loving person. She will be fine. Chrome seems to have issues with his family, his mom’s estate, etc., life direction. Maybe some mid life counseling would benefit him.

@@jefferyofsky The weather in Montreal is not as inviting as BC. I disagree with people being scathed and retreating to van life. Nomadic Introvert, who is blowing up you tube, sold her house and bought a 100k+ promaster, chose to see the US. Emi is a free spirit and will land on her feet.

Nobody needs a relationship to be happy. Some people are just better off alone. Emily seems like a sweet angel and I hope she finds someone that worships the ground she walks on. I thought recently things didn't seem the same. Wish you both well on your travels and do hope to see you helping each other out along the way.. I feel so sorry about the consequences of the fires you're not even in your hottest part yet hopefully you'll get lots of rain to extinguish them soon. Many countries are having in unbearably hot summers here in UK ours has turned very cool. A very topsy turvy world now.

@@cboyle707 ah. I dont feel that there is anything for me to heal from. The news surprised me, and I was even more surprised to shed tears. But it's their business and honestly I was getting a little bit of a feeling that something seemed not quite the same. In my own experience, it's a lot better to let a relationship evolve than to hang on too long. Hanging on ends in bitterness.

We never know when it's time to travel on separate paths and sometimes the time away from each other will give you time to reflect and see. I hope your travels are beautiful but not seeing you together will be sad. Still will watch you both and see where you go.

You two are both wonderful people, but ultimately it seems you have incompatible albeit similar lifestyles. You will always have the memories and an enduring love. How blessed you were to have that special time together. The respect you have for each other is an example of how two people can honor each other and themselves by maintaining healthy boundaries. Too often a couple develops codependence by compromising what they really want and need just for the sake of the relationship. Mature adults know it's okay to be alone and follow their own paths. You both enjoy your own company, and that's healthy. You be amazing you, Chrome. Emi will be her unique self. I wish you both all the happiness in the world. And it's okay to experience sadness at this loss while looking ahead to new adventures.

😢 I’m somewhat saddened to hear this but you are both adults and can make your own decisions. I love you both and I’ll continue to follow you guys. Your relationship didn’t make a difference to me in viewing your videos, I enjoy them whether you are together or not. All I can say is stay safe-both of you. Those fires are terrifying and I worry about you getting caught in the back country and not being able to get out in time 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I was so happy you got together and am so glad that you will remain friends. Those are hard to come by. I understand the complexity of life. I actually shed a tear. I really did have a feeling that this time was coming. Sometimes "twin flames" come together and even burn brightly. You were meant to be together for a time: but both need to follow your own paths. Pathways cross and converge sometimes, and for some they they can run in parallel for a time, only to again head in different directions. True, deep, friendship will remain, if it is meant to be. I wish you *both* all the happiness and love that may come. In whatever ways it does so.

Sometimes it just doesn't work. Having 288K subscribers to tell doesn't make it any easier. I thought it was very smart of you and Emily to keep your channels separate from the beginning. I had a feeling your relationship with her wouldn't last, you guys are just too far apart on the "opposites" scale, but I did hope for the best for both of you.
