As a Mongol, I would like to note that we have nothing that is related to Egyptians. These Middle Eastern and Turkish people are nowadays trying very hard to put Mongols into the same category with Middle Eastern culture. Mongolia is a Northeast Asian country, which shares similar culture and have an affinity with Northeast Asian indigenous people.

@@kts437 you missed the point, I was talking about the empire in terms of history, not the culture. Now if you want to be even more accurate then you and the Turks have more similarities than any other culture in Asia, Europe, or Africa. I think a quick look at the map and the history of the Mongolian empire would clear things up. I've also never heard a middle eastern compare or even say anything about the Mongolian culture, where are those "middle eastern and Turkish people"? I'm curious, where have you heard that? As a matter of fact, it was our Mongolian friends that showed us photos where they dressed as Pharoes and the conversation began from there.

@@H2o3G2a Having lived abroad for many years and worked and socialized with many Turks, I can assure that Mongol culture is completely different from Turkish culture. Turkish culture is more Middle Eastern and Mediterranean. We share similar culture with Northeast Asians traditionally and also share similar culture with Russia and some Eastern European countries because of the shared history of the socialist past. Culturally and spiritually, I cannot relate to Turks and Middle Easterners. If you google, there are numerous KZfaq video contents created by Turkish people, spreading misinformation and rather forceful claim that they share the same culture with Mongols and Mongolia is their ancestral land. I would like to kindly request the Middle Eastern people to leave Mongolia in peace. You guys have such an aggressive expansionist mentality in your gene because of your religious belief of Islam. You guys have to be respectful of other non-Muslim culture. Forcefully identifying Mongols into the same culture with Turks is as same as forcefully identifying someone heterosexual as gay or lesbian.

@@DaiMoscv it is for me. The main problem is that there are so many guttural sounds that Western ears aren’t used to. I have the additional issue with poor high frequency hearing so I’m unable to tell the difference between a sss sound and tss sound. Then of course there’s the totally different script that makes reading difficult. But that’s all excuses because my 7 year old daughter picks up the language easily. I have four English friends with Mongolian wives and we’re all useless at Mongolian language.

As far as the soviet style monuments, you are right that many ex-soviet countries demolished their soviet-style monuments to embrace a new ideology (capitalism). But the thing is those monuments were part of our history and the people of that era (our parents and grandparents) had lived through the era in complete belief and respect! Thus wrecking the monuments means we are erasing part of our history whether it's good or bad, or right or wrong! History is history and we should keep the past as it is, but just need to build a better future! As far as the Zaisan monument in UB, it was built in memory of millions of innocent young men and women who lost their lives during World War 2. It is a symbol of Mongolian and Russian friendship and is appreciated by many people in both countries! The end! Good luck with your channel! 😉
