What a crazy season it was for Devlin Hodges! From undrafted free agent, to camp arm, to 4th string preseason QB, to practice squad QB, to 53 man roster backup, to starter. He had a lot of hot and cold moments, starting his season 3-0 as well as stepping in to win the Cincinatti game, but finished his season 0-3 on some bad games against Buffalo, New York, and Baltimore. He ultimately went 100/160 (62.5%) for 1,063 yards, 5 TDs, and 8 INTs. It was fun to watch him take advantage of his credible opportunity and I loved seeing Duck Mania grow in Pittsburgh. Hodges will likely return to the team next year as the team's QB3, as the Steelers are very unlikely to sign or draft a QB this offseason. Thanks for watching!

A lot of people will say he didnt play very good this year and they are probably right, but they are comparing it to Ben or other starting NFL QBs. If you just take it in the context of an undrafted rookie, who went through everything to be on the 53 and start. It actually wasnt all that bad all things considered.

Never experienced anything like that game in LA against the Chargers. Paid $250 for a shitty seat expecting to lose. Showed up and Steeler Nation was rockin. An away game in PrimeTime with an undrafted QB no one had ever heard of and we were up like 24-0 at halftime. We were all lit. Then the Chargers tried trolling us and played Renegade and the Jumbotron went black for a few seconds. Then they stopped it and played Charger highlights. Shitty troll got us even more electric. Very fun game. Glad i got to see the legend of Duck Hodges in person

I don't care what other people say about him I like him he's a great guy on and off the field just a lit bit of more practice and he will be a stud nobody changing my mind

Remember, Steelers fans...Duck Hodges playing better than expected was necessary for the Steelers current streak of 18 straight years without a losing season to still be intact. That streak isn't possible if Duck Hodges fails to help get us to an 8-8 record in 2019 (AND damn near make the playoffs). He repped the Burgh with honor and earned his Pittsburgh-pass for life.

It really angered me how after one bad game in Buffalo the entire fan base turned against him. Like it’s just heartless after what he gave the team. I’ll only remember the good Duck moments when I think of this season.

Even though the Steelers didn't make the playoffs something was fun this season, and it was seeing the Steelers deal with the bad position they were in from the start.

Was at the Bills game. Was cold as heck. Could tell Duck's run was coming to an end with each pick, but man what a story he can tell his kids and grand kids one day.

I bet when Duck Hodges barely made the roster as a 4th string QB, he never thought in a million years that the image of 2:06 would happen, where he's emerging from the tunnel as our starting QB on a 4 game win streak to the roar of the crowd. Make a roster, even as a practice squad player, and you never know how the cards will fall in your future.

Both Rudolph and Duck did what they had to do with what limited resources they had. Randy Fichtner is not a good Steelers OC at this point, and Ben and AB made him look better than what he was in 2018 (even then it was questionable). The stupid Wildcat plays ruined games and the season.

It’s a real shame. He honestly did have a lot of potential. If he could have built up consistency it might have been a different story. He started out very poised, but made some costly mistakes in later games.

The guy was thrown into the fire with little time to prepare. I thought he went through his reads quickly and released the ball quickly...and he's a much more mobile QB than Rudolph. He did a decent job and he'll only get better with time.
