First, I'll just say I love your KZfaq content. I love your Twitch content too, but I'll give my 2 cents why I believe we love your KZfaq content. The obvious of course; we can't always catch the stream. Then maybe the slightly less obvious; on Twitch, the up-side is you get to interact; the down-side is that you're one of thousands of viewers. On KZfaq, it's like you're talking to whoever is viewing, personally. And we all love feeling special. Conclusion/TLDR; So, why is your KZfaq content so successful? Because we all secretly want 20 minutes of intimate one-on-one with T90.

If they are persians: ensure high wood income, do not repair tc (it costs double wood instead of half to repair town centers) and put your new tc in a good location next to wood and stone or gold. If this worked, you should be economically ahead by 20-30 min vil working time. If they aren't persians and you have two lumber camps working, then just fight it. Garrison 10 vils since last 5 don't add any arrows.

Jupe Vs Noboru?

This really shouldn't have worked. The initial TC drop didn't deny any resources, and there was no Persian HP advantage. The advantage must have been purely psychological; in theory both players could put the same resources into repairing/shooting the other's TC, and the defender would have a huge eco lead.

These videos are so entertaining. I love AOE2 (have owned it since it came out) but never got into the online side of the game. These vids make me want to join in the fun. :) Hopefully I'll run into Fatslob or Jupe at some point :)

I was sceptical that another TC rusher deserved a legend video, but this guy is obviously a master of the craft. Sony played it pretty well. I would even have put him ahead until Jupe gated the TC.

You should NEVER lose if someone TC drops you. Your opponent has an idle TC before you do (If they ever kill yours at all). So you will have more villagers. Your opponent also has their entire economy idle during the time they walk across the map and build their new TC. Your opponent has to invest 275 wood before you. So at the moment the enemy TC pops up at your base, you have +2 Villagers +275 wood +1 minute of collection time. Your opponent then idles their economy even more when they garrison to shoot down your TC. Then after 4 minutes of them shooting your TC, they finally do their first bit of damage. You have to rebuild your TC, which lets them catch back up in villager and wood. But you have 5 minutes more collection time. You lose when you attempt to save your original TC by garrisoning and repairing (TC costs 2x more to repair in Dark age) Just let your opponent idle their entire economy trying to kill your TC. Don't make any effort to save your TC at all. Plan where you will rebuild your TC for when your enemy finally kills it. Once your new TC is up you will have hundreds of extra resources. The only way to lose is to try to play the game.

This is the type of game that let you retire early in your life because the stress level became too extreme to continue.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you're going to give up on the TC battle then you have to prevent them disrupting your eco otherwise you've lost your only advantage. Jupe should have been behind after all the lost work time moving that many vils across the map, I would think on paper Sony should have been able to win the TC fight, its not like Jupe was Persian. Not attacking Jupe's TC meant he could save up wood for all those farms

The last time I was this early. I didn't even know I was early until half way though the video. So when is T90 Farms nothing happening?

Haalp T90 I need your advice! I easily beat the AI on Hard Ara, installed the Resonance bot and loose almost every game now :D My problem is that I am totally overwhelmed when it attacks me, I always got a lot of res but can't spend them because I dont know how to. Watching streams for hoours is apparently not enough. How do I learn proper macro, or is there any 'build order' for beyond castle age? I'd like to play more online but feel like I'm way too Daut for that. Keep up the good work, love your content!

I know how to beat the TC drop part of it at least. Early on, put down palisades to where they prevent enemy from dropping their TC close to yours. Not a full wall. No no. Just enough single length palisades and houses spaces to where there isn't any space to drop the TC down that would have it in range of your own TC. you keep your TC up while the enemy is forced to either batter down your palisades or relocate somewhere else, thereby wasting the time that would have been spent TC rushing you and keeping more of your vills open rather than having to garrison them in your TC.

I would have called bg and send a villager to random place surrounded by fatslob armor, then proceed to take a nap. Fight salt with salt

So that's how pros play the game, attacking with vills, deleting own buildings, walls up there in a few seconds, repairing faster than you damage... It feels to me that every strategy's based on a secret weird game logic or the ability you have to quickly set up a door in the correct angle more than real military tactics and that's a bit disapointing cause it feels to me that the spirit of the game has been totally lost

I have a idea for your streams T90. There is a game called Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds clone campaigns which is basically Age Of Empire 2 with a Star Wars skin. It could be fun to challenge some pro players of aoe 2 on that game (just for fun).

I don't get it. If someone TC rushes you they have wasted idle time walking over to you and the res to build the TC. The correct response should be to spend very little defending your original TC and instead just build a new one with some palisades to protect from a second TC drop. You would still be ahead from a res and idle time perspective. In this game though, I just don't get why red didn't go straight into archers. He should have been on gold instead of stone. I think I would even stop making vils to get the archer upgrades. The archers would have pushed blue off their res. This buys you time to get to castle age and then you wreck them.

This is why imho sc2 is a better rts to commit on. AoE2 is a great game and is extremly fun to watch but games are very long. Jupe would have been happier and have more strats on sc2. Games are too long in AoE2 for no particulary good reason.

If you're playing against a Finnish player, rather than walling at 3 minutes... just surrender and find a new opponent
