Does Terry Silver do kids birthdays? Anyone know?

Speaking of the Jaden Smith Karate Kid, Will Smith is listed as an executive producer on Cobra Kai. Apparently, Smith's production company, Overbrook Entertainment, has the IP rights to the Karate Kid franchise since the 2010 Jaden Smith Karate Kid movie, so he had to OK the production of Cobra Kai as co-owner of the company that owns the IP.

That fight between Mr. Miyagi and the 3 Cobra Kai shows their weakness both in karate and in life...Barnes is just a ball of uncontrolled energy, you let him beat himself and charge like crazy, Kreese is so straightforward he pretty much can't adapt to the situation and is easy to read and Terry Silver is flashy but lack balance so he crash on everything and just break his surrounding ! It's pretty amazing !

Fun fact: Terry Silver's actor is younger than Ralph Macchio.

The fight with Miyagi and the Cobra Kai guys was like some Avengers-level moment to me as a kid lol!

The Hilary Swank one is not a direct continuation of Daniel’s story, BUT it does still take place in that same universe and does have Mr. Miyagi return in it as her karate teacher. Also, Michael Ironside is the bad guy in it. It’s not good overall, and gets lots of hate for being a soft reboot of sorts, but I personally enjoy it more than I do this one. I’m still holding out hope that the Swankster will appear in the final season of Cobra Kai, lol

Pat is so right. Miyagi should've trained Daniel. Remember in KK2, when Sato and Chozen kept messing up the village because Mr Miyagi wouldn't fight, then finally he agreed to? In KK3, it's like Mr Miyagi forgot all about that and he's happy to let his business get destroyed because Daniel won't fight. In KK2, even Mr Miyagi's father's death wasn't enough to stop him from training Daniel. But when Daniel is coerced into fighting in the tournament in this movie, Mr Miyagi still refuses to train him? My other problem with this movie is Daniel's growth from KK2 is gone and he's back to being a dumb hothead again. He was so much smarter and level-headed in the last movie. At least Terry Silver is fun.

He doesn't sell plutonium. He dumps waste illegally. The best Martin Kove scene is at the end of Rambo : First Blood Part 2, when he gets his nuts crushed with a large machine gun. The Next Karate Kid happens in another state, with a girl that is related to someone Miyagi knew in the military. The only common thread is Miyagi.

Sweeping the leg is legal. Kicking the leg is not due to longterm damage risk. Getting your opponent off balance is part of fighting.

Cobra Kai is written so well that that series improves the films before it as well, because everything connects so well together.

Silver and Barnes are fantastic in this, imo theyre the best villains of the 3 movies

Terry Silver is a very charismatic character. I like his determination and confidence. Even now in Cobra Kai s4 and s5 he is charismatic. Can't wait for the s6!

I hope you watch the “next karate kid” with Hillary Swank too. It isn’t a great movie compared to the rest. But it’s still Pat Morita as Mr.Miyagi. And like uncle iron in Avatar, you can’t go wrong with that.

Great reaction.The actor playing Terry Silver didn't get the role solely because of his taekwondo skills; he already had the part. But once the crew discovered his martial arts background, they amped up his character. Originally just a rich buddy of Kreese's, they beefed up his role after finding out he could throw down for real.

It was the first The Karate Kid I saw, and it's as important to me as the first one. In Japan in the 1990s, a program called Friday Road Show was broadcast every Friday from 9 p.m. When I was in elementary school, this movie aired and I fell in love with it. Since then, The Karate Kid series has become my most cherished film. Is okay lose to opponent. Must not lose to fear. You stay focused. Daniel-san, you best karate still inside you. Now time let out. I'd prefer for you to watch The Next Karate Kid over the Jaden Smith one, only because the creators of Cobra Kai have stated that all of the original KK movies are canon and have the potential for characters to make an appearance in the series. plus, even though The Next Karate Kid isn't the best movie, it is a completion of Mr. Miyagi's story arc and it would be nice for you guys to see more of his story. just my 2 cents. ❤

I understood Mr.Miyagi’s logic for not retaliating on the guys that constantly took pieces out of his store. But even my patience took it’s toll, to where I didn’t blame Daniel for taking lessons from Silver and I Knew what he was doing overall! - and even after seeing how it changed him it was hard for me to watch how Daniel spat at Miyagi. Cobra Kai Isn’t just a series - the comedy isn’t like Any other comedy that I’ve seen in my life.
