Sam Elliott played well as Carter Slade. The first Ghost Rider in the comics, until he was later on changed into the Phantom Rider, instead of the Ghost Rider by the creators. It’s awesome to see the original Ghost Rider in the movie, Carter Slade is the man. 🔥☠️❤️‍🔥

My dad looked EXACTLY like Sam Elliot. I said that when I was two and watched “Prancer” constantly. Nothing changed as they aged together either! I miss my dad so, so much! But the resemblance with him and seeing Sam is honestly kind of comforting!

Cool thing about the older man’s character, Carter Slade: he’s meant to be/homage a completely separate character called the Phantom Rider, a vigilante cowboy in all white from Marvel’s mostly unknown Wild West-style comic universe, more or less separate from their usual superhero content. The Phantom Rider, as most of us probably know by now, was adapted as a previous Ghost Rider, before Johnny Blaze (Nicholas Cage).
