4:40 There ARE stickers in this set. If you go through the official images, you’ll see stickers on the nexo knights shields for the dragon head motif along the wall and tower. There’s also a sticker for a hanging picture in the tavern second floor.

I’m not massively into D&D but I am role playing games in general and medieval, it’s just frustrating that the medieval town square wasn’t more like this set. If they’d created 3 or 4 similar tavern type builds I would’ve pick up that set on the days release.

Glad to see clear official photos of this set finally. I like the idea of mixing and matching minifigure parts to create and customize your own characters (both good and bad) in the true spirit of Dungeons & Dragons as a role-playing game. Love the two (presumably printed) shields with the beholder and displacer beast. The monsters are a bit of a mixed bag though. Red dragon looks pretty good overall if smaller than expected; great wings and details but with the sturdy Ninjago dragon building techniques to make it tough for play and display it does seem somewhat static with limited poseability. Beholder came out better than expected despite the small size. Owlbear, displacer beast, and gelatinous cube are kinda rough with their small size (how is the jelly box supposed to swallow and dissolve adventurers whole being so tiny?) and odd builds (the owlbear and displacer beasts can be the baby cubs for my bigger MOC owlbear and displacer beast, lol, and I already have a bigger MOC gelatinous cube that can open up and hold a minifigure or two). Environmental builds look decent enough if watered down from the original. Gonna try to add my own parts and pieces to upgrade some of the structures. I'll be picking this up day one but only because of the Mimic GWP to sweeten the deal.

There’s also multiple heads for characters to change the genders. You can see the dwarf and the little elf person are shown as both male and female in the official images. The CMF series also has the male and female heads which gives us choice. I love it!

The dragon is very nice, but I still think the dragon heads from the movie version of Destiny's Bounty are the best brick-built dragon heads Lego has ever done.

Its such an amazing set, but I just can't help but feel like lego is getting more expensive for sets that might be more detailed but are just overall smaller builds.

Yeah, that dragon looks amazing. Though I'm not quite sure what you're talking about with Ninjago, we've not gotten many brick built heads in recent years for dragons. There have been some really solid brick built dragon heads in the past, though so I don't think it's fair to rag on it so hard. Lol.

Great display piece. Love the monster builds and colors. That brick-built dragon may be the best ever. However, the build is rather hollow; not even the tower is complete. A shockingly low minifig number for the price. Basic skeletons are a cop out for minifig monsters; no Lich or at least some goblins? (Shouldn't have to buy a CMF to get more figs to fill this out.) The value for price just isn't there. Might consider if it goes down to ~$300.

Ok, that dragon looks AMAZING! I only want the dragon, not into DnD that much, but still want to get the dragon. Because I’m not paying that much to get the set only for the dragon. Maybe wait and get it by itself or get a parts list for it to build it

This is one of the best sets ive seen. Yes I do think it’s a slight step down from the fan model but it feels more Lego with a TON of more DND reference. This feels like a 50 year celebration. Can’t believe it.

Honestly, this is genius and I’m hoping it kicks off a line of Lego D&D themed sets. I already know many tabletop gamers that use Legos for pieces. Especially the CMFs and accessory packs.

I like everything in this set, but for $360 I'd have liked to see more minifigures. I know there're the leaks about the series, but even still, I can only imagine how many more interesting figures and designs they could've included. With such a huge price tag, I'd have wanted to see at least 10 figures. The brick-built monsters look pretty cool albeit chunky and I think would've benefited from at least a couple new moulds (especially the mimic).

I'm just saying it is an unfair comparison between this dragon and a ninjago dragon as ninjago dragons are meant to be easy for kids to build, where this set is meant for older collectors and can utilize smaller pieces for a more detailed design❤🎉

im really dissapointed we get another massive ip just for it to be one big expensive set. i dont really have that kind of money or commitment to spend on one big set, id much rather they release big sets alongside lots of smaller cheaper sets.

i’m definitely in the minority for this! but i would’ve loved a huge moulded dragon like lego smaug from the hobbit sets (it still looks great don’t get me wrong i just don’t like building creatures)
