Only piece of advice I could give you mate is to not stick too strictly to the "gear recommendations" in red the game gives you. A lot of the time you wanna try stay a gear higher. For example on the Olympic TT I only found myself using 1st on the tight hairpin at the very end and 2nd gear only for some more rotation on the slower corner entries, but then shifting up into 3rd on the way out as soon as yo can to reduce wheelspin & get maximum traction/power down. 👍

yeah because every build takes 4 months to do, if you look at any other car youtuber they too take multiple months to finish a car build especially if they have to source rare parts or even fabricate them

Definitely need tcs on 0. It may not seem like it, but it slows you down a ton. Gt7 is a game where you need to brake early and focus on your momentum off corner. You can use the gears to help you get rotation in turns, but the biggest thing you need to be aware of is having the wheel NOT turned when youre applying throttle and NEVER leave a turn in anything but 3rd gear. It'll feel slower, but I promise it's not. Only time you'll come out of a corner in 2nd is the last hair pin. Get the car pointed, then gas it. If you have to downshift to 2nd or 1st to get the car turned, make sure you go back up to 3rd before applying throttle. Its tough, even i, a regular player with an A rating, have only been able to get silver. Im 2 tenths away from gold. Ill keep trying though!

I think Theo the reason you don’t like race cars is because most cars don’t have ABS so turning and braking is literally a death sentence and u lock up ur brakes. Also you go full throttle too early and u need to throttle control more around the corners , you still did good though hope this helps!

I'm gonna be honest here, Theo. Personally, using the DualSense Tilt controls, I managed to set a sub 1:18, which I have a hard time improving upon. But when you're on a wheel, I know you can do better than a nobhead like me with some practice. I believe in you, bro! Also, side note, the WR has since dropped to below the 1:15's, which is crazy to think about

Doing a 1:15,3 myself this was pretty painful to watch for me. 😅 In GT7 always remember that you can watch other peoples lap, gear selection, racing line ect, specially when you are not a pro you can learn alot from that...

Check some quick guys in what they do on the track with the Toyota. They use 3rd gear because of traction. 1st and 2nd are just not doable. No traction at all, only wheelspin. I had a low 1:17 on a controller. Pretty happy with that. Think that I could shave a bit of with a wheel. Altough I really don't have space for that here...

In fact, that 5% doesn't mean that you are in the top 5% players of the world, it simply means you are less than 5% slower than the world record, in terms of players, it's usually 15% as of my experience.

I was able to get the to get into the top 5% for that race but just barely! I'm pretty sure the world record time will get lower still so you may need to keep racing 😅

This race is so hard. I gave it like 30 minutes of trying. Placed in the top 99,000 players lol. Don't remember my time. Edit: I went to check my times and for whatever stupid ass reason, my rankings are gone. I know for a fact I raced it. What in the actual F*&# lol. I guess I'll have to try it again tomorrow.

Try it in PSVR2 brother. It is going to make your lap time better. All my lap times have been great in PSVR2

Its not recommend to use traction control because you cant get best lap times. You just need good gas control and you need to early shift

If you have to drive around the cars inability to hold traction, thats gonna be slower. Gotta find the balance between TC, wheel spin and grip. If the cars got the grip for days, but simply stabbing the throttle sloppily causes wheel spin, then yes absolutely leave TC off and drive neater. But ive driven quite a few cars in this game, where quarter and half throttle is enough to kick the tires just slightly, and once they start spinning they will only spin more. So a tiny TC1 to stay ahead of that minimal wheel spin much faster than id be able to, find myself WOT much quicker and sooner :) Side note, driving real cars quickly would tell you as well, TC systems these days are substantially more sophisticated and insanely more reactive than they once were, so leaving a timy touch of TC on can be quite beneficial in a lot of situations

If someone's nickname gets reported enough, it just displays as "this nickname has been reported" I believe the person on top of that Giulia time trial at RBR is Turismo_Lester. Who is insanely fast and is actually named Lester IRL, just kind of unfortunate for him how it reads after a word ending with "mo"

8:45 pants you need to be gentle with the throttle, be smooth with it with the race cars like don't do 30% throttle then jump to 100% as you did like do 30% and increase it as you are exiting the corner

Brake balance way too far rearward considering the downforce of the car if the brake bias was a little rearward (1-2) it would benefit more than essentially having the rear brakes doing all the braking also track limits can be used such as rumble strips and inside lines for the hairpin trail braking also may help for a bit of the corners
