I was a massive cream fan, I got on a train at liverpool street in the early 70's and I saw him walk by. Once the train was on the move I went to the Buffett car, and he was sat there We chatted for a while, until he got off at Colchester, he was happy to chat, the time flew by.

Judging by the subsequent music of the Cream's separate members, I'd say each man was essential to making Cream the force it was.

Ok --- but jack bruce was the frontman " leader " of the band and was the singer of 99.9% of their great songs!!

@@ccrider00 Indeed. My point is that JB took that same role in a few more bands, but none of them equal Cream(at least, not to me). Thus all 3 were absolutely necessary to achieve Cream.

Fortunate to see J. Bruce twice. Cream's farewell tour in 68 and again in 69. In 69 at Fillmore West as headliner Jack Bruce & Friends with Coryell and Mitch Mitchell. On the same bill was Mountain and the Winter Brothers. RIP with all your efforts to create the best and play with all the greats.

Thanks for putting this together, it was enjoyable to watch. Some exciting news: Jack's brilliant _Songs for a Tailor_ is being reissued in a box set including 2 CDs & 2 Blu-Ray discs, with new stereo and 5.1 surround mixes by Stephen W Tayler. Also included on the Blu-Ray is the 1970 documentary film _Rope Ladder to the Moon._ I think _Songs_ and _Harmony Row_ are two of the most underrated records of the period. I dearly love them both to this day. Very excited to hear these new mixes.

I saw Jack Bruce in concert on November 24,1972 at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California. Bruce was a member of "West, Bruce And Laing" at that time. I'll never forget a female fan screaming "Jack!", "Jack!" with her arms flailing trying to touch Jack!

I started on violin 🎻 then to acoustic bass as well. Then guitar and bass, electric! Jack was my hero and I got a Gibson EB like Jack's except long scale because of the acoustic bass. It only had the neck pick up so I added the bridge and eventually put a "Leo's" tail piece on it (of Leo's Music in Oakland). That bass was a monster. I caused the police to be called to many house parties! Thanks Jack! 🎉

I chose this clip pertaining to Jack Bruce to make my comment. This man was, fundamentally instrumental in the jazz & later ‘rock’ scene. If you were privileged to see & hear him sing then you’ll know what I mean. Jack was full of presence, had a fantastic vocal delivery and was a great bassist/composer. Extremely talented, he continued to elevate his talents through working his craft. With all that talent he had in his bag (as a youngster)pushing himself to the front of the cue to be heard is paramount: thank God Jack had that too, belief in himself. God Bless you, Jackie, & the 58 years of vocal & musical joy you brought me. J. Russell

Finally someone knows the Truth! Right you are Sir. Not only was it never said, it was never true. Ringo's a really really good drummer Jeff Lynne, Dave Stewart,Rundgren and many more marvel at Ringo's pocket . His tyle. "Rain"- insane. Ticket to Ride " "..Rita " " Good Morning ". "Get Back " ⁉️ What do Ringo Starr and Jimi Hendrix have in common? 🎸Hendrix played the Right handed guitar his Dad gave him- as a lefty - String's and all.! 🥁Ringo's a lefty playing a righty drum set his Grandmother' bought the young , often ill, Richard Starkey. ( I've read she insisted! He play righty .. something to do with being homosexual...? .. different era...Anyway). Ringo has a sound. Is it going to is it going to replace Neil Peart if Geddy & Alex tour? Doubtful... Neil Peart drumming for the Beatles? Even the insanely awesome Professor...No way. Drummer fit. It's a big deal and I should know I'm playing for 30 years. "Yellow submarine" or" Fre will" Free Will is just slightly more complicated.... It's weird. Zeppelin,ThexWho Cream Billy Joel...on and on Charlie Watts not an easy Drummer... If you're really playing the way he plays it Beast of Burden.. tricky s..t there. Swinging the beat around. F...Pro Tools. Swing it. Ringo had it. English drummers swung then. Levon Helm.. America Drummer swug. Sounds simple... It ain't.🍄 They had a Sound. Unique signature sound . A way of playing beats that was unique to them . Playing with space and time. #1 job of the Drummer? Support the song • The music before you. Ironically.. Best way to get fired as a drummer ? Twll the band you've written a new song to work on. Ha! Not Ringo though. In a band with the 2 most prolific songwriters maybe ever. Ringo was allowed. Ringo supported 20 #1 hits in 8 years. Still a record. Ok . I'll stop . I was just showing you guys got me excited🎉 Whatever your opinion or mine....music I personal . Subjective Right? I ❤ you guys even talking,/ writing about it. During COVID lockdowns- 1,209 hrs in 5 months in my studio on drums Almost 2 weeks on "Dear Prudence" The High Hat, snare, sticking techniques, ... Towards the end of that song... couldn't quite duplicate it.. slight attack differences . Why? Weeks later -documentary comes out... PAUL is on drums 2d haiff of "Dear Prudence".. I'll cut the ADDEROL in half rxt time🎸
