No bassist in the history of Rock comes close to John in terms of originality of sound and uniqueness of style. He was simply the greatest Rock bass-player of all time.

He was such an amazing part of The Who's unique and majestic sound. The horns on Tommy were what drew me in to be a lifelong fan at age 11. He had so many amazing talents as a musician and artist. Thank you for this great documentary about him. 🎸

He had a heart problem that ended up taking his life. Autopsy proved he didnt have enough cocaine in his system to be the cause of his death. Yeah he did do some lines but not enough to cause his death. He would have died anyway even if he had not done any.
