Joseph came from a family with a lot of problems, but it didn't stop God from working in and through his life. Jesus also came from a family with problems.

Inspiring stuff. Reading the bible there aren't too many examples of happy, functional families with one mom, one dad and 3 kids who all get along.

Enoch shows us walk of faith, Noah shows us perseverance of faith, Abraham is obedience of faith, Isaac shows us power of faith, Jacob shows us discipline of faith, Joseph shows us triumph of faith. Joseph was the same in adversity as he was in prosperity, he always clung to God. Awesome awesome awesome.

Thank you for the nice sermon. Jacob did see his father Isaac again, but not his mother. Genesis 35:27-29.

We do not read in subsequent chapters of Jacob bowing down to Joseph, and we know that Rachel could not have done so as she died giving birth to Benjamin long before the brothers visited Egypt
