@@CupcakeMinecrafterI love walker scobell's percy! it's not the same as mccarrell's percy but I think that's absolutly alright. I feel like mccarrell really plays up more of percy's sassiness, whininess, and dramatics in a way that would definitely seem strange for how the show is. walker's percy has had more of a reserved anger in his demeanor as thus far (only at episode 3), he's a bit more realistic overall. so each percy works perfectly in their respective environments- the show has a more serious tone and the musical is more comedic. I love both, as well as the books, so I'm excited to see what else walker's percy will reveal as his character progresses

The comedy in this is so great. Percy's actor plays a 12 year old so convincingly and satirically well! And annabeth's hair is perfectly how the book describes it :') I always remembered her description. "a california girl's tan, grey eyes, and blonde hair that cascaded past her shoulders, which was curled like a princess"(paraphrased, but i remember it). she's gotta be the best annabeth we've got. she just hits all the marks. She got her personality down, her voice is stellar, and she looks exactly as described. And they got all the important parts down from the book!!! I wish we had an official DVD film of this musical ;-; grover is super funny too, even if his hair was supposed to be curly and he was missing the rasta cap--his voice was so good it doesn't matter that much :) I also absolutely love Clarisse's opening song

@@sweetly1634actually, since The Titan's Curse happens during winter and the rest are each summer, the books take place over the course of four years, not five, with Percy being 12 at the start of the first book (his birthday is August 18th), 13 at the start of The Sea of Monsters, 14 during The Titan's Curse and The Battle of the Labyrinth, and 15 at the start of The Last Olympian, finishing the series at his 16th birthday

I want to recommend a musical called & Juliet its based of the plot of Romeo and Juliet but it is not like the play its if Juliet made her own decision Basically my mum and i go to musicals because her mum took her to ballet performance but 1- i hated ballet and 2- ballet tickets were so expensive BUT she still wanted that family tradition so she researches musicals for us to go to together she thinks i would like and that she would also enjoy seeing but i have never read Romeo and Juliet only the name and that Shakespeare made the play. I think you might also enjoy it

I've been in the Percy Jackson fandom for going on 9 or 10 years now. I've been dying to find a slime tutorial for the musical since forever! I was so disappointed I missed it on tour, but when I heard they were going to be on Broadway for a short while, my little 12 year old self was so excited! I'm a newer fan and I've read 1-5 so far I love PJO when i was younger i watched the two movies and didn't really like them but a few years went by and i was looking for a book series and i found pjo! 🌊🔱

I love this musical with all my heart and most of it doesn't make me as emotional anymore, but "The Tree on the Hill" will always get to me. George Salazar's performance is spot on, and moves me to tears. Especially starting right here: 1:18:38

I'm a theatre kid who somehow missed out on the books when I was a kid (literally no clue how since I love reading) and ended up buying tickets to this since it seemed fun and it had actors I really enjoy. I realized it was a fandom thing once I arrived since everyone had camp halfblood shirts and after a quick internet search found out it was a book series- I've never felt more stupid lol I've been wanting to re-watch the musical for a few years now since I can finally watch it as a fan of the books too!! This annabeth out of all three annabeth's is MY annabeth. She is all the wit and self confidence and insecurity and she sings really well. I'm glad we got another attempt at annabeth but I know that musical annabeth will just always be my favorite just like the musical is my favorite out of all three adaptations. My Grand Plan can make me cry and make me smile, I just really love her as a character, she seems so natural and some of the writing in the show has just been so forced.

Hi y’all! I have a funny story ab this musical. So in like sixth grade I was OBSESSED with this musical (still am 🫡) and I love all the lyrics and me and my friends our literally recite it during lunch and recess and like on the bus and act as the different character. Like we would quote it every five minutes. And that summer I got to work for itheatrics Mti and film something for them. I auditioned in front of this guy named mr. Rob. I got to only be part of this huge thing in nyc but I got casted as the main character! (I love theater so much so I was litterally crying when I found out and on the first day of work) so I go in there crying tears of joy and mr. Rob sees me. So I talk to him and I ask ab his sweatshirt (WHICH SAID PERCY JACKSON THE MUSICAL ON IT AND WAS OFFICIAL MERCH) and I asked if he’d seen it live bc it’s one of my favorite musicals. HE PROCEEDS TO SAY HE IS ROB RICKIKI. THE MAN WHO WROTE PERCY JACKSON THE MUSICAL. YES. I was in shock the whole day and when I came home from work I started crying again (keep in mind I was 11 years old at the time). I was SO happy. Anyway that was the best moment of my life.

People wonder why Luke’s betrayal hit Percy so hard still, right? Allow me to give you a theory, a book theory. In the third book Athena reveals that Percy’s fatal flaw is personal loyalty, and what did Luke have that he then broke? Percy’s loyalty. Riordan never told us what happens when one breaks another person’s fatal flaw. Percy’s fatal flaw is loyalty, Luke lost it and never gained it back because Percy’s flaw towards him turned into a grudge. My personal take on how fatal flaws work.

Right, it illustrates his struggle with the gods so well. His hurt, rejection, anger. You completely understand why he hates them so much, and the musical doesn’t even get anywhere close to The Last Olympian and May Castellan’s story. So well done. So so so much better than the none-existent films
