Really appreciate the kind words! The last thing I would ever want to do is tear down a queen or the work of anyone on the show because producing a show for millions to watch is a really tough job. I criticize the producers a lot of the time for their decision making and rigging, but at the end of the day I understand no season can be without a little manipulation. It's also easier to direct attention to the faults of the producers, partially because they have the most control, and because they are mostly nameless and faceless. Directing the bulk of negative energy I have towards people who don't really get affected by what I have to say helps keep hate low and vibes good. I try to never blame queens for behavior on the show or criticize their talent because who tf am I to say who can do drag. As for the content and originality, of course people are going to have overlapping opinions. It's come to my attention that people are calling copy cat on a lot of the drag race KZfaq channels as of recent, so I both try to stay clear of that and be transparent if I do unintentionally steal an idea. At the end of the day we all love the show and we are a really niche community. We will pick up on a lot of the same things, so if someone happens to come out with a "deep dive" style video I really don't care. The more the merrier! It's content I love to make and if people are inspired by these types of videos and want to emulate it in their own way, I 1000% take that as a compliment. I am just into really stylized video essays and want to improve that craft, so doing it on something I love like RPDR helps me improve on each video. Anyways, sorry for that long winded response lol. I just feel extremely rewarded and grateful that so many of you vibe with what I'm doing.

@@jhubeJELLO People love to say Trixie's track record wasn't great but her track record was SAFE, SAFE, HIGH (would've probably been Top 2 if Milk hadn't sabotaged her chances), BOTTOM, TOP, BOTTOM (but only bc everyone who wasn't top was bottom), TOP. She was never low, one of her bottom placements was only by default (IQ Kitty would've placed higher than Diva Kitty and Sparkle Kitty), and even her "safe" performances (her performing one of the songs she wrote from one of her chart-topping folk albums and her as Dolly Parton) were pretty strong. I know it's all opinion, but it's kinda bunk that the perception is that she did a weak job when she did a pretty good job. She just got overlooked because Ben and Shangela were DOMINATING and her one deserved bottom placement was such a shocking and memorable fail.

I do agree to an extent. The biggest exceptions though might be Krystal and Bimini although Bimini's narrative was more about disappointment in the first few episodes before lighting a fire under their backside post break and Krystal was in a non elimination lipsync with Victoria so these exceptions reinforce the rule.

It’s part of what makes her such a wildcard - of all the people in a room, you’re not gonna look at the tall, skinny, beautiful fashion queen and think “That seems like someone who’s receptive to some constructive criticism.” She defies expectations at pretty much every level, and in All Stars she proved that even her bad S8 Snatch Game was more the exception than the rule when it came to her impersonation/comedy skills.

Judges love it when queens take their comments seriously and make the changes to their performances. It shows that the queens respect the judges' opinions and really care about performing better. Naomi took the criticism to heart and immediately busted her butt. Contrast that with say, Robbie Turner. Michelle Visage criticized her week after week about her wigs not being put on properly, and week after week she ignored her. You could tell Michelle was getting seriously pissed off that her advice was being ignored.

season 7 makes me so uncomfortable knowing everything that was happening behind the scenes, and like Violet said, she was read for giving boy just for using pants, and now anyone can use pants no big deal, in that moment Max was read for wearing grey hair? which i still remember because is so uncommon, its a really good brand, better than the blond wig most queens use imo

@@yegane8201 well first of all is obviously Max elimination, she was doing well every week before her elimination but they didnt like her hair and modesty so they made her look insane and prude. The face off Pearl and Ru had made Ru despise Pearl and she kept her on the show so she could "break her spirit" which she said in a podcast with Michelle. Having Kandy Ho almost edited out feels wrong, i dont really like her but so much people forgot she was even there. Production was on a weird shit andnit shows in the storylines they decided to push while Ru was being bitter against the queens

I don’t think so actually. I don’t think she could do very well in the political challenge as I think she would just be overly mean when the main focus is to be comedic. I also think she would struggle with the makeover as I believe she would not know what to do with her parter.

People on social media need to realize too that what they complain about online can become a wave of criticism which will impact how the show is created and produced.

I mean season 11 is full of drama, and it's one of the most bashed season.

Also some of the most beloved queens do share plenty of good shade but aren’t around making everything toxic - can you imagine if Katya, Shea or Adore were super bitter?

i loved season 12 except for the Aiden "drama" which was pretty tame compared with others, i love to see the queens as sisters helping each other because it really reminds me of the rl drag shows where if something happens lots of people will try to help you

I've always seen people paint Shuga as a queen, who if filler queen is a real thing that was what she was meant to be. But she out performed what they expected and stopped giving her her dues. (I will say the challenge she got eliminated in made no sense for her to be in the bottom for, which is why I thought that was a decently accurate opinion)

shuga cain was put on her season as a filler? thats why she was put in the bttm in the magic challenge because shuga did not have a storyline but she also did really good so it was conflicting cuz even tho she was doing much better than vanjie they couldnt send vanjie home bcuz of the comeback storyline and brooklynn relationship

@@dompedrorwell, I think what happened with each of those cases was; Kim chi- Bob completely crushed the competition and was one of those instances where it would've been mad to crown anyone else. Ginger s7- they were pushing for a young fashion queen the entire time, dragging pearl and fame though the competition and violet was exactly who they wanted as a winner Eureka and ginger as6- they really wanted to crown Kylie, so the other two kind of got brushed to the side along with ra'jah

I cut part of my script on the elektra video that talks about Bimini making this comparison. I couldn’t word it properly but I do see a lot of similarities

@@JackFedYT I mean, the only weakness Elektra had was some of her runway looks (just like Bimini on the pre-COVID season), blossomed on the Girl Groups challenge (that Elektra should've won) and dominated the second half of their respective seasons. (with only one challenge not being that great [makeover-design]). In a fair world, Elektra's track record should've been: bottom-high-win-high-win-safe-high, and both became fan favorites. I do think production could've actually adapted to her sudden improvement.

@@marcoc7388 well if we analyze the awful corner they put themselves in, they had to rush in a new frontrunner who wasnt part of the more dislikeable ones left, and between Elektra and Kita, they chose the one who had less beef (which was continued to be fueled by fucking Racist Adams only, because Art was neutral and Karen was on Elektra's side most of the time). Producers backed themselves into a corner in which Kita was the only option for the crown.

@@marcoc7388 yes, thats why I couldnt understand the decision production made in the girl group challenge. You saw the queens actually rooting for Elektra, Karen being the one queen they gave confessional time saying Elektra deserved to win this episode because she has worked so hard and she was rooting for her...and what happens? Producers decide to stomp on all the queens and go for a very stupid narrative about how outshining your peers is suddenly such a bad thing. You can really tell these producers had one and only one queen as their favorite and that was Racist Adams. Lets face it. Karen and Art as much favored as they were, they were kept for two reasons: Karen was such a hyped queen for a lot of people especially after Tracy Martel name dropped her to her fans several times, and people liked Art at first, because her drag looks were so good, she had a following already and she was 'robbed on episode 2(?)'. I dunno if the producers were racist too or what but it always felt so icky how they took Scarlett's side every single time Elektra opened her mouth on any episode, by the end of the episode they somehow make her got the last laugh over Elektra even the episode she finally won a challenge. Going so far as to eliminate the one queen who was on her side at first and then turned on her once the topic of her blackface shit came out. The season was so gross and I hope all those producers were permanently removed from their jobs.

I was so sure they were going to bring Acid Betty back in her season. Not to win but to stir the pot and bring some looks. Maybe they didn't because Season 8 was so short. 🤷🏻‍♀️

No because everyone loves when the underdog does big things. And then Ru gets to take credit for bringing them out of their shell and when they flop, no one's really surprised. And bringing in too early queens is a great way to set up great All Stars casts later once everyone has seen their potential. They come back with the growth storyline. I do honestly think it is very likely they intentionally cast queens that they know aren't going to win overall but will become fan favorites. And I think they cast queens from smaller cities or less-known (or less experienced) queens to have a larger spread of hometown favorites, knowing they'll probably go out early

I disagree cos its a reality tv show and we cannot have things flow naturally because the season wouldnt get interesting in the long run, expecially on US where the queens start to be the same archtypes the more years pass. Yes the producers should stop these double sashays, lipsync twists that no one want but storylines need to be pushed otherwise the outcome Is obvious. Acid going home was when bob was crowned and that happened naturally. Carmen winning 3/7 challanges and 4 minis while the other contestants had two bottom each was a dead end for storylines.

Imo having “underdogs” is super important because if the season was too fair, it wouldent have the drama of seeing someone unexpected do really well. Its not the best thing to do but in a show you have to use everything available to make it entertaining. Balance isnt entertaining
