We have had Bert, the Maine Coon, Chuck, the Maine Coon and Max and Bill from the shelter. Max is part Abyssinian and Bill is a black and white tabby. We agree that no house is a home without a cat or cats. And losing a cat is devastating. We are very fond of Larry here in America.

Yes, Larry the Cat has been a sensation for several years. I was born and raised in California and now live in New York City. In both places I have seen news reports about Larry the Cat. I worry about Larry every time there is a change of PM!

More often than not waiting too long unless one of his friends , yes kind policemen, knocks on the door for him. I've seen him soaking wet waiting for so long until that door opened.....it is sick and cruel. Are they told to let him out to die of pneumonia ? Wouldn't be surprised...the ?😡

He would get himself girlfriends to do the mousing while he takes his naps. Actually, he was really very gentlemanly toward a female cat in the area but detested all the other ones who were male. The only makes he is friendly with are the kind and considerate policemen who knock on the door for him. I wager that Starmer has given orders to policemen not to let our Larry in.

Larry hid under Trump's car. Cats only go around objects associated with cat lovers or at least animal lovers. That's how I found my cat Grace. She was hiding under my car. I'm American & Trump just recently showed his soft spot for Joe Biden during the debate. Trump has been climbing the political poles since then.

Larry has not been loved and petted when he first arrived in 2011 and seems rather weary and scared except when policemen are around. Policemen are his best friends and he respects them, they have a heart of gold and knock on his door to let him in....he would still be waiting if it weren't for them. Thank you to ALL the kind policemen who help this old age pensioner 😘

I think the only people he respects are policemen : they love him, too. Poor Larry out in the rain, set through, waiting and waiting to be let in: when a kind Policeman is around he knows he will knock the door for him and he can then go in. It is not that those inside don't know that poor Larry is waiting, they know alright but why they keep him waiting is beyond me. If only Larry could talk ! Some people are very cruel and/or sheer lazy ! So, I thank all the kindhearted policemen who have helped OUR Larry with that door ! 😘 and Larry says Thank you, too 😘 !

Amazing story and video! Larry is a great cat! We used to have "official" cats in the Parliamentary building here in Canada, but they were moved out many years ago sadly.

The reason Larry may seem unfriendly is that the people involved don't understand how to "introduce" themselves to a cat. Cats are not dogs. For instance, the man who decided to stroke Larry did not let Larry sniff his hand first (introduction) and went for Larry's lower back towards his tail. A cat's tail is one of the most sensitive areas of their body. So Larry's behavior is predictable. Ditto the man from Japan walking up behind Larry - yes, cats are predators but they are also prey. So of course he reacted how he did. Crouching down to their level is another part of an "introduction ". 40+ years of having multiple cats.

I wonder if Larry will write a Tell-All book about his experiences at 10 Downing Street, after he retires? If he gets a book deal, I'm sure a film will follow.

I don’t think Larry is the type to tell secrets. Money means nothing to him, but I see a treat given by a photographer. Now thats the way to Larry’s heart.

🐱How cute. I'm a vet asst. Suggest switching up your cat food to Purina One. Cut back on dry cat food, over time, it can cause urinary blockage in male cats and kidney issues. Indoor formulas are lower in calories, When kitty gets older, take Larry in for a Senior Blood Panel. This checks overall health, while its still early. Keep your cat Indoors There are too many dangers outside. You'll have better longevity. Enjoy!

I think Larry walks as if he’s got some joint pain. My Maine Coon had arthritis in his later years here in Florida. I can only imagine the damp weather in London. Does Larry have his own veterinarian who makes house calls?

@jaynesegman, Wonderful suggestions but do you really think that any of those good quality goods are likely to be bought for Larry ? I would pay for them myself if I knew Larry was eating them ! As for vets ? Probably call Battersea Home for Dogs and Cats and donate £1 🙄 I sincerely hope they occasionally pay a visit but somehow doubt it. I agree, he should have, in my view, regular check-ups. Bet if they asked the public to donate they would.
