Ox injured yet again not even started the new season yet... He'll be a bench worker this season spends more time on there than on the pitch.

He lacks stamina, injury prone but a top impact player, not a full 90 minute player same with taki,neco,keita . If these guys want minutes they need to show they can go the distance because only Fabinho Hendo and Thiago feel truly fit enough to play the full 90mins

Ox has been at the club for almost 6 years. Can you honestly say he has had a real impact on the starting 11 consistenly since we signed him? Also, he hasn't played football since March. Didn't even make the squad at times. Given the amount of games we had to play don't you find this slightly odd?

@@smitla321 Yes it did have an impact on the team. Its only since the bad injury hes totally dropped off. Before that he was playing great.

I totally agree with you. Ox is a brilliant player. The evidence is right here on You Tube. Up until the match against Roma in the Champions League in 2018 he was a firm fixture in the starting 11. He has had bad luck with injuries, starting with the match against Roma.

Could not agree more. I think the problem was that every game was so vital to win that he could not be risked. Like Bale he seems content to sit back and take the money. Foe his own self respect he should ask for a transfer and move on. Too good a talent going to waste. Crafty Jurgen praises these players every week yet does not play them. Yes that was the moment,salah scored that first goal and i felt anything is possible. Ox was on top of his game,offering drive and a goal threat,injury was a body blow. That yard of pace is noticable after the next injury he had.

I think some of what your saying is fair . I believe he tries too hard at times and at times he needs more time to play.

Yes but he is Home grown , you have to remember you need a certain number of homegrown talent in your squad and why would you weaken it for a lesser homegrown player . Who would we get for his 15 million that would be better ? . Yes there are many players but how many can fill that homegrown spot . Sometimes you just have to big them up and get them to stay until someone else can move up. Now with other young squad players still needing loan time then he may be the best available for the time scale and money we have . Football is not always about being the best . You may be the 3rd best player at the club but if the best two also play in your position and young prospectives are coming , You are gone , so it's not always about how good you are or with homegrown how much game time you get it's about making your team meeting required Cup , European and premier League required legislation.

If you got rid of everyone in the squad that couldn't hold down a first team spot you'd be left with 11 players. If he can be upgraded on then sure, but he still does a job for Klopp on the rare occasions he's given the chance. It's not about sentiment, it's about knowing your players and what they can give you. It doesn't matter whose squad he would or wouldn't get near either. All that matters for Liverpool is that Klopp and his staff think that Ox is worth his place in the squad. I think they've shown they know what they're doing.

Yes, he does do that and yet he still registers the amount of goals and assists from the left. To cut inside from the right gives the left footer the opportunity to strike with his stronger foot, be it a curler into top corner for example. If he cuts inside from the left he has to shoot with his weaker right foot, but would be able to put better crosses low or high into the box for others but crossing duty is mostly given to TAA and Robbo. Pros and cons. Messi plays the same and see how many goals he had scored over the years from right hand side. Also Salah has scored goals with his right foot also (goal against City for example pretty well struck).

Lack of ambition? 🤣🤣 They've turned us from a a shambles, close to administration to a £billion club. They have been shrewd in in the transfer market and invested in the club. Ox has had many injuries and maybe keeping him is a risk, i would also keep Minamino but we do need a midfielder. FSG have been great for the club.

@@ashdonn2385 yes, that’s why Milner don’t play to many games anymore and Henderson his not got the same energy levels he had back in the day.. unfortunately it happens with age.. the same with Salah, he has been going in and out of form much more often.. and playing way to many games for his age.. the problem is, some of us LFC fans struggle to let go of the past glory and forget that sooner rather than later, we must let players go So we can move forward with the next generation.. for me financially, we must recoup some of the money spent as much as we can to reinvest into the next generation of players.. the trick is to know the right time to let them go.. if you allow them to run down there contract and they walk for free, its almost a financial sin, knowing that you will need to pay top money to find quality replacement.. the money you’ve recouped from out going/ ageing players should offset that cost.. just like the mane sale will offset the Nunez deal. In my opinion Mane still had another couple of seasons in him but his contract was aloud to run down, so we had no choice but the let him go and recoup.. if we keep Salah with his contact running down, and not at his very best, he walks for nothing next season.. that makes no financial sense to me..
