The Aston Martin V8, a key fob with stun gas, explosives and skeleton keys and a booby trapped sofa - Bond (Timothy Dalton) gets kitted out for his mission by Q (Desmond Llewelyn) in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS (1987). Sadly the sofa didn’t make the trip…

I found it bizarre and ridiculous how some Bond fans criticized his accent. Um, the title character has been played by Scots, Australians and Irishmen so I heard Bond's voice with many different accents. Note: Dalton is Welsh. I thought his voice sounded like I would imagine Bond in real life. Many people who have read the novels say Dalton's performance is the most faithful to Fleming's work.

@ricardocantoral7672
@ricardocantoral7672 4 жыл бұрын
I didn't mind the tone of LTK. Unfortunately, the greatest flaw of the film is Bond himself. His characterization fluctuates throughout the film; depending on the scene, he's either an irritable jackass who pushes away his friends or he's the vintage, charismatic 007. He is also given a poor motivation to go rogue. Who cares about Felix or Della ? By the time film concludes, it ultimately didn't all matter because the crippled Felix doesn't give a shit that his bride was murdered and Bond is back in the service. The whole film is just a desperate attempt at playing catch up with Lethal Weapon and it's ilk.

greatwuta Its too full of brutality for a Bond movie. Which is the main reason because i saw it for the first time when I was still pretty young and I dont have a good memory of it at all. And at that, Talisa Soto is not a good actress. You can see her lack of acting in nearly every scene she‘s in. Dalton and the villain are pretty good but I found the second half to be pretty boring too (From Bond‘s first attempt to kill Sanchez onwards) We didn‘t get a scene in which Felix said a proper and real thank you to Bond for revenging him and also no scene showcasing Felix mourning for his wife. I wish the filmmakers would also have gone deeper with his shark bite as well. Then, there are parts like the fight scene in the bar that feel out of place and more like they belong in a Tarantino western

All those soppy chick flicks and rom-coms where a guy has to make sure Girl A and Girl B don’t cross paths while both in his home. Having the sofa at 1:37 would’ve made things so much easier.
