Hi
Hope you are well. in this vlog we leave Llangollen basin at and head east to Trevor basin. I have filmed a small vlog about the surrounding area as I feel that alot of people are missing out on the great pubs and walks around the Trevor but unfortunately I will have to upload it on a separate video as this one was far too long plus I was absolutely knackered by the time we reached Trevor. Thank you to everyone that bought us a coffee and donated to the channel through the PayPal link, It really helped out in paying off Spikes vet bill. I will of course give you a mention in the next vlog.

Well done rescuing the squirrel by the way, they've very sharp teeth haven't they! Hubby rescued a baby squiz years ago who we called Butch & he was reared by a sanctuary & released when he was old enough. Continued living in the tree they released him into & learned how to be a wild squirrel.

Hi , paint your Boat with a Synthetic Polyurethane Paint , it gives a nice finish and is very long lasting . I used it on the chassis on my Vintage car nearly 30 yrs ago ,and it still looks good . Cheers Al 👍🤣

Aw i love the dogs.I lived not far from Llangollon for 20yrs walked that tow path many times.the veiws are awsome. Enjoy the trip give spike a hug ❤

hello, thanks for the vlog. really beautiful part of the canal and views were stunning. so glad you managed to get it all sorted. yes it was a long video, so watched it in 3 parts, but worth it. I love the stories you tell on the way and your sense of humour is good especially with the dogs.! I remember the windows XP, we use to call it the Teletubbies hill😁. brilliant, hope everything is going ok, the boat is looking nice, and by the way you can just ripen the tomatoes off in the sun, then use them in cooking like add to a sauce for pasta. I hope you manage to find a solution for the paint work. looking forward to next vlog and hope you got some rest, time for a pint now!!☺😀

Thanks Kev. Yes it is. Your missing out not turning right at Hurlstone junction. About now and early spring is the best time to explore the Llangollen. Hope you enjoy the bunker. See you again when our paths cross 👍

@Boatdogtraveller Yes, you may be right, I'll save it for next time. The bunker was really interesting. Silvie, the dog wasn't impressed, though, but it is very dog friendly. It's not cheap but worth a visit.

You can ripen tomatoes off the vine if you don't have much sun near your windows you can try putting them in a brown paper bag.

So good to see you guys. Vet bills are really high. Our new dog, a whippet mix who I told you about before, is cheaper cuz she's young. But still, there's all the stuff people don't think about, that's why shelters are bursting... in Austin, anyway. Shelters don't always accept strays, even in Dallas where the freezing winters keep the stray population down. Case in point, my neighbors found a dumped litter of 6 Bloodhound puppies, barely weened, .... skin and bones... while camping near San Antonio in June! (107 F ) ... Ended up meeting a guy from Oklahoma ... half way... which was Waxahachie, near Dallas... (We're talkin hundreds of miles). Pups have now found homes, some w siblings. Happy ending. I just inherited a bit and would be glad to help w Spikey's bills. Such a sweet boy. Thanks for posting, even if it is once in a blue moon... Did you see the super blue moon last month? Cool. All the best from Texas! P.S. Gimme the link for a Spike donation, I can't remember your last name Del...although it's on the side of your boat somewhere w Diesel Del info. Nope, I couldn't see it. Nice to hear that the pups got a home. Don't worry about spikes bill as I have scraped it together now. I can only post the odd video at the moment unfortunately as have been working to pay spikes bill off. Hopefully will be posting more soon. Lovely to hear from you again. Should be in Great Haywood on Saturday so the plan is to blow the dust off the camera there. It's been a hard year this year with burying family and friends plus spikes health deteriation but hopefully that's all behind us now so that we can get on with doing what we love and that's travelling the canals scratching a living and making a few vlogs along the way. Happy new year. Yes I would as long as your engine is powerful enough to deal with it. I use michigan propulsion. Give them a call and they will talk you through it 👍

I grow my own tomatoes and always use a cold black tea feed every two weeks , they grow quicker and ripen nicely and taste perfect , i have about 90 tomatoes ripening at the moment

Bad year for tomatoes ripening. They reckon put a banana with them and the gas from the banana should turn them red.

Nice video Del, farting dogs and all. Was it CRT who took the rings out or were they nicked, round here the drain gratings disappeared overnight last year all up one road. Lots of money to be made from scrap metal.

I just wanted to ask if you've thought of CBD oil for dogs? Is it legal in England? It has no psychoactive ingredients, and it really can help with arthritis pain in dogs. Poor Spike. As a fellow arthritis sufferer, I certainly empathize ❤
