I may have said this before but when people talk about computers in relation to the brain they’re getting it a little bit wrong. Computers can’t handle any chaos at all, except with robust error correction hardware and software code to accommodate it. Even then, a powerful computer can’t handle much in the way of the unexpected. The human brain isn’t like this at all, not even a tiny bit. A brain seems to totally disregard the predictable. A brain thrives almost exclusively on chaos and unexpected data inputs. Actually it’s even more different than that: A brain seems to project error data on the environment, while a computer can only respond to data inputs. To illustrate this difference in a schematic form, imagine a wiring diagram for all the circuits in a computer, where the electrical power comes from a single input. It splits that basic 60hz signal into billions of transistors, then parses all that power consumption back into a single line out which returns to ground. By contrast, a brain is shaped like a tree: It takes billions of inputs like photons of light hitting the leaves, and billions of nutrient molecules from the soil through the roots, and it all meets in the middle in a single trunk suspended between heaven and earth. Order from chaos. This is what distinguishes life from nonlife.

Brilliantly said. And, the concept is in keeping with the ongoing theme of symbolism on this channel (it feels strange to reduce it to that): are you familiar with the Axis Mundi? It's the symbol of the Great Tree that unites Heaven and Earth. Heaven can be symbolic of our higher-order imagination, and in this example, I would be satisfied with Earth representing itself- essentially inanimate matter. The intelligent mind as the tree you describe, being our engine of perception, is what allows the interaction of divine purpose with base elements; the blooming of life itself.

A brain, if you believe thoughts come from the brain, is more like 30 computers with different software all tied together to produce infinite ideas and thoughts and fed into a probability calculator where the final decision is made. Or one comes up with an idea or thought and passes it on to the next and the next and next and then finally given all previous information to a final decision maker program based on probability. Or maybe 3 computers with different programs all bouncing ideas off eachother and then your spirit is the decision maker. Fascinating stuff. I notice in meditation, that my thoughts are like a pebble dropped in a pond and each ripple takes information from the previous and runs with it until it reaches...me. hard to describe but for a computer to replicate the human mind it would need dozens of computers all focused on different tasks and fed into a translator to make sense of all the information and then fed into a probability calculator to come up with a decision and have the autonomy to either agree or disagree with all the information regardless of reason or logic. All while being under the illusion of unity at ligtning fast speeds while simultaneously controlling a body capable of insanely amazing things.

Couldn't help but notice that it forms an hourglass shape made of entirely straight lines, yet a woman who is considered hourglass shaped is curvy. I find the hourglasses sitting in the center of four pillars to be specially interesting. Time transfering its mass, one grain at a time, from one void to another, until the end of time. Yet time doesn't end, it gets flipped and starts again full of time. The chalice is eternally refilled. Time is both the whole process and the Holon passing through the aperture. The object we use for measuring time is itself shaped like eternity. 8. Collapsing divergence into singularity and spitting it out the other side as novelty. Anyway, that's what your profile pic made me think of.

Reminds me of the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis, which can basically be summed as the theory that cognition and perception can be altered by one's language. An interesting example of this is the contemporary constructed language "Toki Pona", which has only about ~120-137 words depending on what you're referencing, which is more than enough since you can describe complex things and ideas using word combinations (i.e. purple is reddish blue). The idea is that its minimalist nature helps you concentrate on basic things, and thus, promotes a positive attitude. Programming languages are also typically brought up, since programmers typically have an altered way of thinking owing to the languages that they use on a daily basis. Truly, your language is your world, and you can add and subtract to it by adding and subtracting words from your language, even going as far as to make up new words. Indeed, I think making up new words is very powerful indeed, almost like creating a new world. That "word" and "world" are so similar says a lot
@mindsigh4

~world of words~ ~words of the world~ i haven't tested this with others, but i have an idea that under hypnosis,(or self hypnosis, & certain forms of 'meditation') a certain percentage of people could comprehend languages foreign to them. call it the superconscious state, subconscious, the collective unconscious, the akashic records(a sort of mental library, or reservoir) but there are funds of knowledge available to us that are ignored & can be accessed via 'altered' states of awareness. Edit: on a related sidenote, from watching interviews with official exorcists of the catholic church, when they are presented with a serious request for an exorcism they run the case thru certain protocols/criteria to weed out first: mental illnesses, delusion, hallucinations, etc. but one test that i find intriguing, for centuries now, the church has documented that 'possessed' individuals can display fluency in foreign, archaic &/or little known or forgotten languages, that's one of their tests to discern/differentiate between someone possessed & ur average mental patient.

Basically since birth, we have used our emotions to organise and filter the noises from that which gives us reward or pain. A new born baby cries from cold and hunger. Crying is the body's physical response with emotions. So, your question is: what then deciphers the emotions? The thread you called logos. Where is this thread as emotions trigger our neural patterns, but these patterns are fixed (as otherwise, will not remain static, the "Z" is fixed until inputs (other neural patterns) are attached to it. So, a fixed pattern can not "read" and can not "decipher" another fixed pattern. Are dead. Can a word typed on a page "understand", "cipher", "read", the word next to it? So, this thread is not dead! This is where the magic comes in!

Today I was talking with 5 people about how meaning is primarily objective with subjective ramifications. They all denied this fact. They stated that it was only subjective, because words are not "real", but as you mentioned halfway through the video with the example of the word "Dog" and how it refers to an objective thing out there, meaning is everywhere and not just in letters. Wild, wild thing.
@davidjones8043
@davidjones8043 10 ай бұрын
I think you really misunderstood him. The word dog is something we made up (a software) which is why he compares it to technology. But behind the word, something does exist objectively. And that comes along, word or not, with everything YOU associate with dogs. Dog food, wagging tail, fur...etc. and that is subjective. Like if you were bit by one and it scared you, I wouldnt have that association. But to someone who speaks thai or an african dialect, the word dog means nothing.
@Velociraptor74
@Velociraptor74 10 ай бұрын
@@davidjones8043 I don't notice the correction you're trying to convey. Yeah, words are a psychic technology (John Vervake) used to hint at real things and relate it to other things in reality. Even though we have different languages and interpretations of things, it does not deny the fact that behind everything that's subjective there's something objective; just by reading subjective you see that in its etymology "sub" is just a prefix for the objective.

Your publications like that of chiron last are quite sophisticated through the expressions communicated and although I'm more simplistic in comparison the elaboration in your work justifies their expression. Some may adhere to them more efficiently but in effect it limits understanding for many. I find it similar to quartrains from a distinguished author who made it in such the same manner, for those who it's meant for but like one of my beliefs- the easier and simple in it's design the more comprehensive it becomes. Such a vast and comprehensive vocabulary like all philosophical elaborated information, with much appreciated considerations anyway. Only Love (Outlives Life)

@6:45 I once prayed and lit a candle for the Archangel St. Michael and I asked him if he could explain to me who he is because I felt a strong "attraction" to his candle every time I walked by it at the store. That night I had the most revealing dream I have ever had. Most importantly there were no words or sounds. Every interaction was emotion. That opened my eyes to the realization that everything I experience through the senses evokes an emotion and The Most High knew how to evoke each and every one in me. He played me like a harp. I would like to tell you that dream one day, so that maybe I can make it a video. The problem is that it can't possibly have the same effect for anybody else because the images that I saw were meant for me to evoke a particular emotion, within me - for me. It will most likely fall flat for everyone else. It will mean little to them, but eveything to me. So meaning is the point of all of it - produced by emotions and assisted by our senses. How does one go about living a life full of meaning?

Oh wow who is this guy? That was like watching a movie in my mind. I feel ya though bro. Living your life with a mind in a long distance relationship. Got to stay grounded, but the mind has to soar. Dont fit in so you teach. That only widens the distance. It sucks bit now you have a purpose. Nature demands balance. The price of purpose is lonliness.

I want to return to the example of an unbroken band of colors that you have given, for instance a rainbow spectrum. It is the case that this rainbow band exists prior to the recognition of colors within it: the band is indistinct and blurred together, it is a unity at first. When we recognize and name colors, we create centers with blurry boundaries which we see as distinguishing relevant parts of the unbroken spectrum into wholes in and of themselves: we distinguish color, and in this way colors as distinct things begin to "exist" for us in a relevant way. True, the different colors "existed prior to our distinguishing them" as visual phenomena, but they did not exist AS seperate colors, at least not to us, maybe for other observers who are already taken on the perception which recognizes the colors as distinct. There was only the latent potential for these different colors to be distinguished, so they were not different colors "yet." ...in which case, do you think it would be appropriate to speak of God's creation of the heavens and the earth in Genesis as analagous? If we think of the unbroken band of color as the "deep/waters" over which the Spirit of God was hovering, could we think of thr activity of the Logos in the creation of the world as something more like the "distinguishment" of the world through the naming-recognition of distinct things within what had prior been recognized only as a chaos? In which case the activity of God becomes one in which things are created insofar as they are *afforded intelligibility* as distinct, rather than as a strict appearance from nothing by force of God's assertion. It could be some mixture of both, but i sense that in honing in on the Logos here you are implying that it is the force of "making things intelligible" that was at work with God in creation.

In the beginning was the word. The written word? The spoken word? The idea of the word. Gods first act of creation was to invent the idea of word. The first impulse was to communicate. The first thing most of us do upon entering this world is communicate our disatisfaction with the whole thing by screaming.

i was born in bulgaria, so my first language was cirilyc, and my first thought was that it is inverted "N" which is and "I" in cirilyc, and the a "Z"...now...why do we have the same dog?...baffles me(if indeed that was your dog)...and its seems we have very similar interests in onomastics, philosophy, psychology, occult, etc...i wonder if the algorytm feeds us to each other or if we are the ones finding each other...at least there are many of us now...very nice info mate, keep it coming pls, I will teach my daughter some concerps from this video

Truly, as with all things, it is the context that matters. An "A" can be modified to an exaggerated degree and still be percieved as an "A" if it is sitting within the context of other letters which suggest a whole word, within which the letter "A" should be present. Your example of "Apocalypse" hits this idea right on: because the other letters are recognizable, our brains look for an "A" and find it's approximation in the odd symbol we've contorted out of the standard A. It's like there is a part of our brain which snapshots one moment in memory, and then when it sees a next moment it compares particular patterns within the next moment with the prior, conjuring that memory when it sees a familiar pattern, thus allowing the memory and the present experience to overlap and supply each other with meaning. "A appears like B," says the mind, "therefore A must be like B." And so we have the locus of language centered specifically in memory networks which fire at the experience of symbols which have been associated with other experiences. Memory is key here, heh. Without memory there would be no language, and indeed, our experience of the world would be a blur, if it would even exist at all. Could you imagine living without memory? You wouldn't even be able to have a linear sense of time, there would be nothing to compare any one moment to the next or the prior. EDIT: I must also make an important addendum, after some consideration...while memory does provide the basis for much of pattern recognition, it would never serve us completely in this regard. For if you could only identify patterns which were already in your memory, how could you ever identify new patterns? How were the first patterns in your memory formed? Not by comparison with previous ones, there were none. There must, then, be an intuitive process by which one identifies novel patterns without prior knowledge of them. Hopefully this addendum makes it to your eyes as well. Thoughts?

That intuitive process is instinct. A man fears the dark by instinct. Through memory he can learn to fear for example a giraffe. Are instinct and memory very different? I don't think so.

Yeah, that's what I would say as well. There's an archetypal structure which is like a dim memory of patterns your ancestors encountered. If this were not the case, your memories would be just as meaningless as raw sensory information.

Hyper-dimensional statistical analysis being the means and persistent experience through natural selection being both motive and opportunity (anthropic principle). I would add that the world IS indeed without "meaning" or intent until it is projected outwardly from the separate self, our means of autonomy - selective ignorance otherwise known as attention. The only independent source of meaning (imo) is the underlying binding energy of grace from the source, we share a "reality" that resists decomposition and dissolution into chaos due to a binding force of necessitated coherence; the source of both the observed and the observer, the genesis of logos itself. The many worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics and the Feynman path intergral suggests a world squeezed into being at every plank-instant by the surrounding force of its own non-existance, maintained at each moment only by memory and expectations. Every great advance in physics has illustrated the revealing of truth through the illumination of the true self by way of dispelling the separate self. Ajātivāda; no here, nor there, no now nor then, no coming nor going, no life nor death - atemporal non-locality is the supreme real. The accompanying ~'naïve dualism' that comes with language is both, through its application, the source of maya (illusion) and, through its abstainence, the means to draw the curtain. Re-ligion meant to bind together again. Yoga means union, (that which never|already was). No problem means no solution, answer is dis-solution. -solved- dissolved.
