It's not about 9/11 specifically, but written by a whistleblower (medic/ intelligence officer/ engineer) who saw lots from the War in Iraq. He details how he gave them Saddam Hussein's whereabouts 6 months prior to his capture, but they only followed up on his coordinates of the various safe houses (which turned out to be correct) after that time for some reason. Just connects a lot with what post-9/11 was intended to be. Shocking until you realize it makes a lot of sense, much like i'm sure the book you mentioned will.
