Gary Moore has always been my nr. 1 and "The Loner" has always been a huge favorite of mine.
The first song I ever recorded at the age of 14 was this song.
Maybe one day I will release that!
This is a cover of Gary Moore's version, not the Cozy Powell version.
And for the first time ever on this channel I had my dear friend Jens De Los directing, editing and filming the video.

I close my eyes and remember the talent we lost in February 2011. Such a legacy left to us by that son of Ireland and now Tommy has picked up the torch and relit the fire. Cheers Tommy you have done Gary proud 👏

Gary Moore's guitar playing was the most passionate and emotive I've ever heard. You can literally FEEL the raw emotion pouring out through each note. Tommy, this version PERFECTLY captures that exact sensation of passion and emotion in every single note. While we live for your various covers where we gets your amazing voice shining through with power, passion, grace, and intensity, this song doesn't need it. Gary Moore, and you as well, SING with your guitar. This is one of the most beautiful and 'relaxing' songs I've ever heard. Thank you for bringing us this 'Tommyfied' and 'Johanssonized' version of this gorgeous and glorious instrumental.

Just returned from a fantastic week at SRF. At the campsite where we stayed, we are a large group who mostly come from North of Sweden. Between the concerts and late nights, we sit and play a lot for each other. This is a song that I think most of us have heard many times. The ones that were very clear about was that we agreed on is that you really know your Gary Moore. This song made many of us actually be a little quiet and just enjoy the blazing sunshine. There was something so extraordinary about the Vibe I felt in this one. A reverence for solitude perhaps and a communion with Gary Moore's spirit.
