Don't get me wrong: it's amazing that you found that goat path up there ... ... but: what exactly are you skipping? Your "shortcut" starts pretty much in the middle of that zone ( so you have to walk half of it anyway, and it only works going in one direction) and seems to take as long as the rest of the regular way would have taken.

@@Will_Horn there’s 3 caves where I can light a nice cosy fire and cook all the meat I’ve harvested without fear of attack from predators.

@@Fayreangel yeah, but if you playing on “interloper” sometimes you can encounter a blizzard without coal in your backpack, so you need to skip this region in order to survive

@@Will_Horn that argument makes no sense. Lots of players play on interloper including me. The ravine is known as the holiday region. Full of resources including caves with coal where you can ride out blizzards. It was a good trick and well done for finding so many bedrolls on interloper.

also it is just a good speedrun tactic. several challenges make use of speedrun tactics and skips and occasionally those tactics happen to enter normal gameplay if you want them to and are able to do it. It is mostly a "here is how you do this thing" and if it ever becomes useful to you then you can use it.
