Thank you so much recently I’ve been struggling with lust and things have been going awful in my life and I’ve been turning to things of the world to cope and I got this notification. Things really do come together for Gods will.🙏

Such an interesting book and often misunderstood by lay people. John Piper makes it so obvious. Thanks be to God. Our possessions are blessings from the Lord which are only just on loan. Another reason why we shouldn't put our hope in things of this world, as they are only temporary.

Demonstrating the parallel of the last chapter of Job and Rev:12 was brilliant! Never thought of it like that. Thanks Pastor John for this whole 'Look at the Book' series on Job. Really helpful.

Zen Garcia found a more ancient text that speaks of Job tearing down the temples of Baal. The Lord told him that if he didn’t stop, Satan would sift him. Job was compelled to continue.

@Austin Brown Baptism is not synonymous with saving faith, salvation, and the receiving of the Holy Spirit. Luke clearly makes a distinction between the two in Acts 10:46-48.

It seems that Revelation 2:10 clarifies all job's story - unless we change this verse and say "God is about to throw some of you in prison to test". /// it just doesn't make sense. The truth is Job did not know what was going on behind the curtain and he relates/"blames" everything on God while it was the devil . job's only escape is that he HOLDS on the confession that God spoke earlier on about Job . He is a righteous man and Job was saying "I am righteous without fault"and I made my case and I know I will be vindicated ... and he was

Excellent teaching. 1 Peter 4:1-2,12-13 KJVS [1] Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; [2] That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. [12] Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: [13] But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. We partake of Christ’s sufferings in order to die to the lusts of the flesh. 2 Corinthians 4:10,17-18 KJVS [10] Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. [17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; [18] While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. www.justifiedfreely.com/?p=174

They are Jobs words, not Gods. God does not take away. Jobs issue was Job 3:25

Yeah but then you seem to be forgetting Amos 8:11.
@ElvisPriscillaPresley3 жыл бұрын
@@bluepacman13 That has no relevance here.
@bluepacman133 жыл бұрын
@@ElvisPriscillaPresley Really? God is unchanging and eternal. So of course any actions the Lord does IS relevant. And that action was removing or "taking away" the words and hearing His words toward his people; and justly so. It's clear as day in Amos 8:11. Oh and not mention you have the case for the Tower of Babel; where God took away a one world language and separated the people into different cultures and separate languages so that they wouldn't be corrupted by pride. In that time everyone spoke in one tongue; and then God took away that tongue and multiplied different tongues according to their cultures. Amos 8:11: 11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: What does famine mean? Famine:noun. extreme and general *scarcity* of food, as in a country or a large geographical area. any extreme and general scarcity. extreme hunger; starvation. So in this verse the Lord is *taking away* or making *scarce* His words to the people of Israel. So again tell me, how is it irrelevant to the phrase:"...God taketh away."
@ElvisPriscillaPresley3 жыл бұрын
@@bluepacman13 i agree with that... maybe you misunderstood.... back to Job, God does not take away like it happened to Job.... God did not take away his children.
@bluepacman133 жыл бұрын
@@ElvisPriscillaPresley God is taking away what was evil and corrupt in Job's heart. And Satan is what took away what was good and pure. See, when Job said that phrase he didn't know AT THE TIME what he was saying. His heart wasn't in the right place. He didn't understand it fully. But towards the end of Job, we start to see Job understand though God's questioning and probing of Job's heart. God always looks at the heart, remember. So God showed what was evil in Job's heart, and Job repents because of this: “I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you; therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes” (vv. 5-6). - Job 42 And Job 42:3 3You asked, ‘Who is this who conceals My counsel without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too *wonderful* for me to know. Now Job realizes how *wonderful* the things he didn't understand that he said in the beginning, because his heart at that time wasn't cleansed. But now that God has cleansed his heart he understands how wonderful those words really are. Job couldn't understand also because his heart was hardened like stone. Job 41:24 King James Version His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone. Now God is showing the characteristics of the Leviathan in these verses. However, God IS speaking to Job in these verses. After Job repents, and his heart becomes "soft as flesh" only then does he understand what he was actually saying in the beginning of the book. Thus, creating a well rounded story of Job.

+Marty Blackman.. Jesus Asks us to Seek Him and His Righteousness. Seriously? Why are You So Against Seeking Jesus..for Help with Your life?! Do you think Jesus is Going to Say.."golly..I don't know what to tell you! I think you better go ask Piper! " Jesus wants you to Seek Him..For HIS Help..so you will Know HIM. All you know is Pipers opinions. You Do NOT Know Jesus..and never will if you Never Seek HIM.

+family lowe. Jesus was not gracious to Pharisees at all! And Fool is HIS very WORD when He talked about people who built on the sand and taught and lived false doctrine. You do not seem to even know What Jesus Said. The Only thing I have ever Said is that People should Live Jesus Gospel..which He HIMSELF Spoke in Matthew 5 6 7.. Jesus Said.."Obey My Sayings and Seek Me and My Righteousness..I will Give You everything you need and deliver you from evil." if you people think I am so terrible because I am teaching what Jesus Said. You are seriously foolish! (Jesus own words) it is Best to Seek Jesus..than it is to seek churches and men who cherry-pick the bible and teach you their doctrines of Men. I Seek Jesus Everyday of my life and I do not follow Men..and I am not at all concerned with your opinion.

The Christian world is a confusing judgmental Mess. Men cherry-picking the bible and making up their Own gospels..saying they have the truth and everyone ese is Wrong. Christians Condemn me because I follow Jesus Gospel in Matthew 5 6 7. Jesus Saved me from it ALL. I Follow HIM and Christians can go on with their opinions. I will Stay With Jesus. +Marty Blakman.. The whole bible is NOT Jesus Teachings. Gods Words in the bible are the Ten Commandments in the OT and Jesus Commandments in Matthew 5 6 7. The rest of the bible is stories, hear say and the opinions of men. I Follow Gods Words..not the words of people. I am the only one here who is following Gods Words. You are following Men and their opinions. Peter, Paul and Mary..Are NOT Jesus.

Jesus is Jesus.."Living Water"..as He Said. He is Not a book..a church..a Relgion..a mans version. He is Wanting a direct revelation to you..for you to Know Him..and not a regurgitated version. You are stubbornly Attached to Piper and will be as the virgin with no oil..because you do Not Seek Him..but seek Pipers convoluted version. This is warning to you from God and you can either heed it or continue seeking Piper. Choice is yours..but I will be warning people..as long as Jesus asks me to. I am Not asking Anyone to follow me. I am warning people that you are Not Seeking Jesus for your answers..as He Ask you To. You know Pipers opinions..but you do Not Know Jesus..until You Seek Him.
