The small plastic pieces from Return of the King were just pieces that broke out from the last disc's spindle. As you probably have figured out by now. The Blu-ray of each film comes in 2 parts for each. Hence part 1 & part 2. The extended editions are just fantastic to watch on Blu-ray 👍🏽

It's so long, it's still separated by part one and part two discs. Like the set from 2004, it also includes the same DVD discs part one to six appendices. The only difference is the 2004 set didn't include the 5th disc called behind the scenes. DVD is 12 discs total. This one is 15. The original theatrical each included the behind the scenes disc but the extended didn't.

That is one of the best box sets ever! The extended editions are 100% worth the time and money. And yeah I agree, 4K isn't really necessary. Cool vid, dude!

Wtf??? A movie of only 4 hours on 2 blue ray???? So you need to stop the video to swap for part 2 of the movie like the 1990's they also not included the teatrical version sush a waste of money.....

It literally doesn't take long to switch the disc and it immediately continues where it left off of course you have to switch the disc because of how long it is and it would mess with the quality of the film having all 4hrs on one disc it can't handle that kind of data

Come on 4 hours is quite long for a movie. Such a long film on 2 blu-ray disks is not a big issue.
