Well let's be honest it must be better than season one. Thing that saved season 1 was the dwarves and it looks nice. The other characters even the most of the lead ones were instantly forgettable and you couldn't give a toss if they were killed off or not

I remember Peter Jackson doing a similar shot in the Moria sequence, and so do many movies where there's a group of heroes surrounded by enemies. Y'all just finding random reasons to complain at this point.

Why is everyone saying g they didn't follow the book? Amazon never was allowed to buy the rights to Silmarilion at all. They were only allowed to purchase the back pages or appendix notes. Any deviation from the extent of their agreement will spell lengthy litigation against Amazon and that will kill the show entirely. They have no choice but to adapt and keep adapting. If you've read the Silmarilion, you'd know some characters ought to have been introduced already. We have to enjoy it as it is.

ROP haters are separated into three groups: 1) The ones who never read any of the books and are just repeating what they heard other people say, or thinking the show should look like the Peter Jackson movies because that's the only thing they know 2) The ones who did read the books, but can't acept any change that doesn't follow what they imagined while they were reading, even if the changes were necessary for legal reasons 3) Stupid people who got problems with what they call "woke", basically they are angry because the show has black actors and strong female characters, which apparently, in their distorted mind, shouldn't exist in a fantasy world

Apparently they are making a new movie. Based on what book not sure. There is rumours Peter Jackson is contemplating filming the impossible The Silmarilian but I suspect it will be some weird spin off loosely based on one of the other Tolkien tales

It has an all female directing team, which means it's probably going to be another modern feminist sexist horrible writing disaster like the first season.
