This movie changed movie violence and music soundtracks! I pretty much lived my life in my teens and twenties by this movie...the look, talk, music, clothes, etc.

Fun Fact: Kiefer Sutherland's father, Donald, played a Watcher in the Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie! Peewee Herman and Luke Perry were in that movie too! Really fun flick! R.I.P. both.

Classic! Santa Carla, California is actually Santa Cruz, California. No vampires there, of course, but the boardwalk is real. We used to go there during the summer all the time when we were kids.

Morbid Fact: "Lost boy" was a common euphemism for a dead male child in Victorian England.

Kiefer, Corey were both in stand by me, and both almost didn't get this movie!

Actually some of the original Draculas got smaller when they changed into a bat. The oily sax guy is a legit musician and not only had solo stuff but was in Tina Turner's band.

Joy, very perceptive of you to make the connection with this movie to "Peter Pan" even before watching "Lost Boys." Bleach blonde bad boy Kiefer Sutherland as a 80's punk vampire bully in this movie or as 50's bully punk in "Stand By Me" is always fun to watch (especially when the tables get turned on him.) Fun reaction from both of you and perfect Halloween movie choice. Boo!👻

"It was all going to be so perfect, Lucy. Just like one big, happy family. Your boys... and my boys." This movie is a Peter Pan allegory. Max is Peter Pan, Lucy is Wendy, Michael/Sam are Wendy's brothers, the Frog Brothers are Captain Hook/Mr. Smee, and Star is Tinkerbell or Tiger Lily. Once you pick up on the allegory, it becomes a totally different movie. There's been sequels and a remake, but they never understood this concept and just became stupid vampire movies. Fun Fact: This was Corey Haim and Corey Feldman's first film together, which marked the start of a popular "The Two Coreys" trend in which Feldman and Haim starred together in a number of teenage films. Fire Stunt Fact: In the chaotic dinner scene, Alan Frog puts out candles with his fingers. Nobody told Jamison Newlander that he had to wet his fingers first, so he ended up getting burnt. In later takes, he dipped his hands in a basin of water before putting out the candles. Tourist Attraction Fact: Two men can be seen playing pinball the second time Sam visits the comic shop. The guy with the facial hair is Joe Ferrara II, who actually owned the comic shop Atlantis Fantasyworld. The comic shop has now moved location but is still owned by Joe. The new location of the Atlantis Fantasyworld comic book store, which was featured in the film, still carries the original #1 issue of 'Vampires Everywhere' that Sam reads in the film. The comic was created only for the film, and its opening page is signed by all of the cast members from the movie. The owner Joe Ferrara II allows any shopper to hold it and take a photo with it free of charge.

The contact lens where one of the things that made this movie what it is. They were one of the things every cast member hated wearing however due to just how uncomfortable they were to wear. They could only be worn for very short scenes and then removed to prevent any permanent eye damage from occurring.

Grandpa is far more than that. He is in fact a half blood himself. A few easter eggs are given throughout the movie such as the bottles of soda (which is actual animal blood) and the fact that like Micheal grandpa was always seen out in the day wearing sunglasses. It is confirmed in other forms of lost boys' media that it was the widow who sired grandpa.

There is a deleted scene in the vampire lair that would have revealed the ending much sooner. In the scene it moves over to an area outside of the view of the characters that is a painting of Max from the 18th century.

Thanks for the reaction video. Great film and it brought back childhood memories. I wish the Santa Cruz Boardwalk was that thrilling and lively LOL, but it was a cool enough place back when I was a kid, despite not having vampires in reality (as far as I know). The Clint Eastwood Dirty Harry film, Sudden Impact also did some location filming at the Boardwalk, a bit of a different view of it.

Fun fact: According to Sutherland, he had the least amount of dialogue in the whole movie. "They gave me great things to say at the end of scenes," he said. Sort of like the Witch in the Wizard of Oz being in the film for only 13 total minutes. Quality, not quantity. A little goes a long, long way. Viva Sutherland!

Happy Halloween !🎃! This vampire movie is a cult classic and started the teenage vampire trend 🧛‍♂️!!!

DEFINITELY one of the very top vampire films I'll always recommend to others and stands among the favorites. Up There with the likes of Bram's, Queen of the Damned, Interview with the Vampire, 30 Days of Night, and Blade that I absolutely love. So glad you both got a chance to watch this one.

In thorn's defense I actually do have a dog that is perfectly fine out in public. Don't make the mistake of coming to my house though because that dog is very protective of her home and does not like visitors even people who 5 minutes ago, she would have been fine with out on the street.

There are a handful of reaction channels that I like, and I think the unique, endearing thing about this one that keeps me coming back is how Joy is always addressing Marian by his name. I never do that sort of thing when I'm hanging out with someone, one-on-one, but she's like, "This is the thing from earlier, Marian!" or "Remember she mentioned this guy, Marian?" It's probably a cultural thing but I like it, and please never stop doing it. Way better than watching two white American guys being like "Dude, that was so sick!" back and forth for the entirety of a reaction.

Enjoy young Corey Feldman and don't look up old Corey Feldman.
