What a stunning rendition. Well done!!. The Trumpeter was incredible in his dynamics and sensitivty to the beauty of this famous work. Excellent, impressive. Perfect balance between organ and Trumpet.

Oh for the childhood memories of these precious hymns! SO different than the Psalms set to music in Holland, where I was born. Unfortunately, my parents attended the Reformed Church in America and the gospel message of inviting Christ into one's heart, even at an early age, was not taught!

Sublime... The smooth, soaring sound of the trumpet reminds me of the soaring spirit of my Uncle Terry who recently passed. He was a trumpet player and would've loved this as I do. Thank you!!

@@willemvaningen2747: as did dear Sir Arthur Sullivan. I still remember the chill bumps I received in church one Sunday morning hearing this song by the choir and a solo tenor accompanied by our massive organ! Praise God from whom all blessings flow, and flow, and flow!

Seated one day at the organ, I was weary and ill at ease, And my fingers wandered idly Over the noisy keys; I know not what I was playing Or what I was dreaming then, But I struck one chord of music, Like the sound of a great Amen, Like the sound of a great Amen. I'm not comfortable with the theology implied in the last verse but you can find the rest of the Lyrics on the Internet.

Absolutely THRILLING! I do love this very, very much! No words are needed here as this most fine man plays his trumpet in away that sings to me. BTW Isn't this a different type of trumpet? It looks much more complicated that those we have here in the USA. THANKS to all and to YT too! Bravo Mr.. Moke!

The instrument was a huge Romantic pipe-organ. Not bright, big and warm. Live, it even sounds like surround sound.

The sign of Jonah, Jesus said, and refers to YomKippur Scripture Book of Jonah and prayer for forgiveness from sins committed. The Lost chord, if God does not write your name in the Book of Life.

Sullivan was capable of great music, but the melodies of the comic operas were trivial, even by 20th century standards.it was suggested that he 'secretly' despised them.

Trivial? Numbers do not lie. There are G&S Societies around the world: Israel, Australia, England, USA, Catalonia which honor his "trivia" How many Bach, Beethoven, Mozart Societies pray tell? "Trivia" is only in the ear of the listener.
