We only spent a few days in Kuala Terengganu and then headed to Marang and stayed in this small village less than 2km away. Marang is known for the ferry port going to Kapas Island. The beach and fishing village in Kampung Seberang Marang were a big big surprise, the locals locked a bit confused as to what we were doing there but still very welcoming. We did not explore Marang itself nor did we go to Kapas island as we wanted to see different and unexplored parts of Malaysia, all we can say is that our time in this village was absolutely worth every second.

Booking.com, we mention the hotel name a couple of times in the video and to check the description box for link. The motorbike was for free, we also mention that in the video

You guys nailed it on the pronunciation of Marang. Most overseas visitors will call it Meh Rang (as in the phone "rang"). Good job both of you. And the kopi o that you had, i.e. the 434 brand is really good stuff and is actually from a town called Muar in Johor. One of my favourite brands as well. I too, drink it black without sugar. But during the roasting process, they add sugar & margarine and mix it with the coffee beans. Give the coffee a caramelized taste. Glad that you guys really enjoyed our beautiful country, Malaysia.

I am a Trengganu born but stay in KL. Yes Marang is a peaceful place. You can also try Bukit Kluang beach a little up north. Also the Kenyir Dam.

I lived there in Seberang Marang as well..about 1.5km from that marang premium house..this actually the first time i have seen it from the inside..too bad i didnt know you guys were there at that time..i would love to show you around..i feel bad when tourist trying to communicate with the locals but later on being intercepted by language barriers..to be honest we locals were so happy to see tourists roaming in our area..but due to lack of confident in english language..we end up just waving hands and smile...

I might have said this before, but I always enjoy your way of travel, exploring the places tourists didn't go, meeting locals and trying non-pretentious foods. It's definitely the best way to experience local way of life. Keep it up and stay safe.

The concrete wave breaker, known as "Benteng" by the locals have been my family's favourite spot too when we're going back kampung. As far as I've concern, tourist never found that hidden gem. You guys might be the first mat salleh all these years to found it. Well done!

@@Travelgramers ye..there's always a few wakaf and great shady spot for a picnic nearby. The locals lepak (hang out) at benteng for fishing, strolling, or just enjoying the wind and beautiful view. Miss those coz I'm working in a big city..like most of the young family nowadays..:)

If you travel south around 1km via the main road, you will arrive at Kelulut Beach (remember the stingless bees at Min Homestay?- the stingless bees is called Kelulut in Malay). Kelulut Beach is where you can get sata, keropok lekor (Shop no. 008 near Caltex), akok, kuih bakar etc

If u want to walk besides the road better walk opposite the motorists so u can see them coming, sometimes the motorist can't see u especially the big lorry/truck..also cool to see Pulau Kapas so near, Terengganu is rich with beautiful tropical islands 🌴

Our accommodation was on that side and it was next to impossible to cross the road to the other side, there was enough space on the side of the road for us to walk tho ☺️☺️☺️

6.55,,,,,,that is ikan sumpit,,,aka Archer fish,,,spit jets of water towards small insect , cockroach ,fly etc etc around the boat , jetty , stone ,,,, when the insects fell into the water the fish will grab and eat it

Since we were there and the sun was setting behind a mosque on the opposite side of the ocean we wanted to stay and enjoy the view it was quite scenic but we missed it 😂

Kopi 434 is one of the best coffee in Malaysia since 1953. They plant their own coffee and roast their own coffee beans. Their Elephant beans, a type of Arabica coffee is only available in Johor and exported even to USA and Europe.

Make your time to stroll along Dataran Marang, Pasar Marang, jeti nelayan (LKIM) that you saw from walking by the road and to Pulau Kekabu (it's not an island actually, it's another beach) just next to Dataran Marang. Ask the local coz you can walk there leisurely. Have breakfast and lunch nearby Pasar Payang, lot of fresh seafood and eat like a local. Some other day, you can explore Pantai Kelulut which is quite happening at night as seafood haven.Enjoy Marang!

Well yes, Malaysia has it’s borders closed so everyone that is here now was here before the pandemic. We are in Malaysia since January 😉😉
