The LS swapped S10 is "done"! First Start, drive, alignment, ship it!

It's a long time coming but this little LS swapped S10 project is finally going away! Is it done? No, not really. But at least OUR portion of this project truck is done and Randy can have it back for his part. A big part what we do is getting projects over a hurdle, or two or three and giving the vehicle back to move forward. Those hurdles are what can totally derail a project!
So as you all saw in the last video with this truck, it just flat out refused to start. It would cough and spit and sputter but would only roar to life being bottle fed. Out of time? Missing Spark? Starved for fuel? Well let's find out!
Huge thanks to Randy for bringing us his baby and trusting us to get it right for him. We are all excited to see what you and your daughter do with it from here!

Oh it needs timing and carb work for sure but that wasn't our department 😀 It's running driving turning and stopping up to Randy to do the rest!

if ur fuel is a mix of ethanol and anything it can seperate out so the ethanol i think ends up on the bottom . its not always a contaminant when u can see lines in fuel anymore , and it can b quite difficult to get it to mix back together . if u can find one they used to make feul funnels with a fine copper mesh in them that seperated out the water for u to pour away as the molocules r much larger than petrol or gasoline

ALL race cars/trucks are Frankensteins, hopefully whoever built them knew what they were doing. It's not like there isn't a ton of information out there about how to do it.

Water does that because it is partial polar. The hydrogens attract to the oxygens. So imagine really weak magnets attaching to each other. While gasoline is non polar mostly “save for ethanol” they lay down and spread out because they are not attracted to themselves. That is why gasoline is great to clean a grease shop floor.

My battery and fuel cell are under a tonneau cover. Though it never rains in Phoenix, AZ. That's a GMC grille, and what are those ugly things stuck around the door windows? I don't run E85. It's a nightmare on fuel systems. I use VP C10. Race cars break. Yes they do. As long as they don't hit the wall or roll over when they break I consider that normal.

Hmmmm good question will have to go back and check but it likely is. There's a lot of different pieces on this truck to make it work 😀 Little project grew in scope a bit on us but ended up getting quite a lot done!

It hasn't been easy that's for sure, lots of little challenges add up! But really isn't that how it goes for most of us? And how a lot of projects end up sitting dead garages? Just gotta keep after it!
