I got a Sanicompact. Works great! It only has a rise of 4 feet and a run of 3 feet to deal with. I used the minimum size of discharge line, 3/4" with no issues. Same with my little Sanishower pump.. But it does require a vent line of 1 1/2" to the outdoors.

Just an FYI- The installation instructions Section 2.6 , 3rd paragraph of installation manual. " Use long turn bends and not elbows, elbows are not normally available in plastic piping, use two 45° pieces back to back to make a 90° elbow. The connection to the soil-stack or sewer pipe should be made with an approved wye fitting.When in doubt about this procedure please have a plumbing contractor install this for you " .... after the 90 discharge elbow they give you , and you go to make that turn to go vertical, you used a 90 elbow, that is like taking a garden hose and crimping it, it's going to create too much back pressure on the pump and cause early failure... and you put another 90 at the top before going horizontal trough wall,,, then discharging in to the waste line, that will cause issues as well. instead of wye fittin into the waste line , like the manual says, you put ANOTHER 90 into the line. These units will last 15 years or more,, I give yours 4 ( and the warranty will run out at 3)...How did you vent it? You didn't show the vent line tied into anything, did you free air vent it or studor vent? because, you can't use a studor /cheater vent on these units .,,,Otherwise I LOVE the tile work!!! looks fantastic.

Just curious why you didn’t hide all the pipes and box on the other side of the wall?

Isn’t venting required where you live? In Mass, a true 2 inch vent line is required for any fixture connected to drains and here you have 3 fixtures.

Hi what if the sewage line is clogged past the Macerating Toilet? How do you snake it? I have a Basement where the cement floor and foundation has sunk slightly. So I think the drain pipes leaving from my toilet don't have proper slope. My toilet flushes with liquid but we don't put solids. The house is on the side of a Mountain so the sewer drains great. This basement toilet is on the far side of the house that has a problem. The shower and sink drain fairly well in this basement bathroom. Will the Macerating Toilet work well in this situation? Thank

Now tell me why put the tube up the wall and not out the bottom then up on the other side where nobody would see it while in the bathroom? Maybe you couldn't do it for some reason but the bathroom does look really good for a basement bathroom. Ares is all cement one huge shower and a Toilet that's it no sink not vanity nothing. But it's also a house that was built in the 50's so maybe someday I'll mess around down there for my beginner project.

looks like they use a European connection on that toilet. They claim it is superior than our wax ring flange type connection which i hate. I like using the new green polyurethane sponge gasket. i would maybe put a one way valve near the main drain pipe, so nothing goes into the toilet system if there was a backup.
