I grew up in Bensonhurst. Where Tommy was like a local legend. If you were not made in the life but trying to make your bones he would call them GITS. Gangstas in training.Tommy was not into taking drugs himself but he loved a woman that did drugs ultimately led to his downfall. Tommy was a legit old school wise guy. He’d rather spend his life in prison than rat or take a plea deal.Mooney a great topic to cover is the Roy Demeo crew .Along with the Gemini twins Anthony Center and Joseph Testa. Like Tommy Karate they too mastered the art of getting rid of a body. They were known to hang a body upside down in a shower so the blood drained out. Then chop it up. They would order pizzas while the body drained. Great rabbit hole to go down. Great video. People should know about this other life people live. You do a great job with presenting the facts.

I grew up in Chuck Norris's neighborhood where he opened his first karate studio. Bruce Lee used to live fairly near by. I was thinking about rhat when you were talking about Tommy Karate and that I never knew anybody from that world who was a criminal type. Then I had to correct myself. Even Chuck's brother-in-law, who I went to school with, was more than a little sociopathic in high school. I wouldn't have been seriously surprised if I had later learned he had become a gangster (as far as I know he didn't). So I guess you were right. Thanks for the insight. From a crazy family with MMA training. No wonder you seem so relaxed when you walk into some of these situations. Still, stay safe.

Great content Mooney, you're kickin' ass...I read The Butcher, this was one sick freakin' dude. He loved killing and dismemberment, killing his girlfriend's drug using friend was crazy and the way it was described was..insane. He also kept mementos of many of those he killed...only a serial killer does that. No lie, it's great this absolute psycho is off the streets. Also, his martial arts career was a bit overblown, but he did study Kuyokushin kai-kan in Japan. I've trained many years, so Tommy Karate did have skill if he trained there no doubt. Between him and the DeMeo crew..probably still counting the bodies..

@@MOONEYDashCam Well back then there was no internet or anything other than word of mouth. It's amazing in hindsight to see what happened in the 70s and 80s but when you lived in those times with next to no technology, cctv, dna,etc then they thought they could get away with anything, and the average joe had no idea the depth of evil most of these places had. Love the videos by the way, your channel has really come along.

Hey Mooney, did cable TV in that building many times. You can hear voices in the stairwells. There’s another bar and lounge down that way that was called The Wrong Number. Some action in there as well.

@@samanthab1923 no I’m just joking. I used to be in the stairwells all the time because I did cable tv work in both those buildings and that’s where the cable connections were. But then again, ya never know!
