This feels like a mix between the hunt and the slaughter, both having each others themes in this episode. The hunt bc of some of the wording and how they hunted eachother, and The slaughter bc of the hint at music when lisa was grabbing the knifes, and the fact that no one really seems to know why they suddenly decided to start killing one another

her statement kind of reminds me of Jude's or Jane's. you can kind of hear the human part of them, that one that got them there, the one that finds it a bit weird now.

My theory from this episode and what we know so far: This episode really supports what Gerry said in the last episode about the lines between the fears being blurred. It had elements of both the Hunt and the Slaughter, but I believe that the main fear here is the Hunt mostly because the Murder Club was so invested in the methods and timelines and statistics and how things happened how they happened and why and such, in other words they were too focused on the murders they were reading about for the main fear that was drawn to them to be the Slaughter 'cause the Slaughter, in my opinion, is very aimlessly just killing anyone, mostly focusing on the end result which is the killing/murder, while the Hunt is about the process and the thought behind the murder, if you know what I mean? I believe that in this episode we get the info that helps us distinguish which fear this episode is about when Lisa says she thought about testing her knife in her flatmate but she didn't because he wouldn't understand. If it was the Slaughter, she would have killed him, but because it is the Hunt instead, she was choosing her preys and the flatmate wasn't worthy enough to be a prey for her. Also, we're now also getting why the fears were also drawn by people who loved doing things that was somehow connected with them (like the skydiving episode or the diving episode or the cave one etc), it might be because, as Lisa described it, those activities still scare them but they like the scare and that's why they keep doing them. So, maybe the others also loved the thrill they were experiencing because of their fear, and that's what made the fears to be drawn to them. Now, for the part of Basira and Daisy, Basira is worried that Daisy might also be turning or turned into a part of the Hunt. But, from what they're talking about, maybe Basira was also linked with the Hunt too, because they're talking about some dreams/nightmares they both had but Basira, ever since she became linked with the Eye by working in the archives of the magnus institute, she stopped seeing them, while Daisy still is. And that's probably also why Elias chose to have Daisy been working for him without actually working for the magnus institute, because the avatars of the Eye are mostly passive, while the avatars of the Hunt are more active, and Elias needed an active pawn to do the his and the Eye's bidding.

The thing that make me smile this episode is that 1) Daisy is a clingy one and wants to be with her partner, and 2) The narrator here... she is enjoying this. To hunt his friends, to be running from them. Amazing

I had the strongest sense of deja vu regarding Basira and Alice' end conversation, when Alice said "I'm not one of your bloody puzzles" until "worry about yourself". I can't figure out if we've already heard some similar conversation or if it's just me being crazy

The Hunt is the whole reason I started listening to this series, really. Aesthetic blogs got my attention and I asked about it. Now I'm here.

Reminds me of something a friend of mine (couple years younger) was in with her classmates. They were having a Nerf war, so I drove her around for a night, trying to get the drop on someone else, haha. Obviously much more wholesome than everything that happened in this. O.o

I definitely feel like the first part of the Murder Club, the part where they all descended on the guy and killed him was more Slaughter like, but it's almost like they're obsession with true crime, the "organized" killings of serial killers opened them up for the Hunt to take influence. Like the Slaughter marked Fears influence on them but they chose the Hunt for themselves.

Aaaah this is very cool because I've been to the True Crime Museum of Hastings and it was fascinating! I'm getting nostalgic listening to this ^^
