Yeah, they did the major scale solo in the middle shorter, and the opened up on the minor scale solo at the end. Very good, but I think the keyboard and guitar bridge section they did on War Pigs was more creative.

I love the way he plays the first solo note-for-note, perfectly. Then the second, he just goes off into the stratosphere. Kind of like saying - "Sure, I can do it exactly like he did, if that's what you want. But is that what you really want? Maybe what you really want is..."

The first thing everybody thinks about when listening to this song is David Gilmour's profound artistic expression in his solos and if the guitarist covering them will be able to even come close to that level of "feeling", and whether those licks will be honored or just repeated. Max does as good a job at honoring David's work as anyone possibly could. From a sound guy, the mixing was exceptional. From a Pink Floyd junkie, this rendition was special in every way.

Max standing in the back quietly for the first 2/3 of the performance and then setting everything on fire at the end has Prince playing While My Guitar Gently Weeps energy. When it's not his spotlight, he needs none of it, when it IS his moment, I couldn't imagine the moment belonging to anyone else. There are about 5 people on earth who can play that solo differently than the recording and enhance the magic instead of ruin it, and one of the is David Gilmour himself. Max is another. You've got the magic, man. It's not technique or knowledge, though you have those things too, but it's just that magic that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up from only the sound of an electric guitar. Thanks for reminding me why I play.

I am a huge Pink Floyd fan, and typically not many on this earth can do Pink Floyd justice, but if David Gilmour gets a chance to see this, he would be damn proud! That was sick!!!

You guys have no idea how much I WAITED for this cover. since I discovered you four years ago with the Have A Cigar cover I knew you were something really special. every thing you guys make is absolutely amazing but this and Since I've Been Loving You, you have scale on a new level of talent and respect to the authors. I don't care if i have to wait for other five years or maybe a couple of weeks, but be sure I'll be one of the thousands (if not millions) viewers here and will keep sharing this amazing band.

Once again, two things I love Main Squeeze and Pink Floyd. And once again, Max gave me chills with an incredible solo - just like he did in Have a Cigar. Amazing, all of you. Many thanks.

Ouah

As a Pink Floyd fan and after watching these guys' cover of Have a Cigar countless times (if you haven't watched that you must, it might be my favourite guitar solo ever period, full stop) I had "High Hopes" for this one and it sure delivered. You guys killed it again. The whole band was on point so kudos to everyone but it's hard not to mention the solo outright. An incredible rendition! Thank you for this and keep up the amazing work.

Agreed, Have a Cigar solo is the only solo to ever leave me smiling like an idiot. But then also I recommend it to people (who admittedly aren't music nerds but claim to be) and they never seem to understand what they're witnessing.

Maximilian is easily one of my favorite guitar players. He plays so deep and with such emotion. That’s is what guitar playin is about. Sorry for my English mistakes, I’m from Brazil and my English knowledge has to be improved.

I think he outplayed Gilmour on the solo. Not only 1 minute longer, and still tight, but way more tempo variations; making Gilmour sound "rigid".

Easily my favorite non-Gilmour comfortably numb solo I’ve yet heard. Max’s guitar playing is virtually 85% or more of the reason I listen to their videos. The rest of the band is talented as well and they do all gel together pretty well but his guitar playing and the drumming is usually just on another level altogether.
