Patrick Horsley has made a round bisque shape like an upside down bowl that is centered on the potters wheel and a square slab is centered on the bisque shape. A coil of clay is attached to the slab to throw a foot for a way to hang the plate. When leather hard the plate is turned over and decorated with slips using different tools to edit. After the bisque firing, the plate is glazed with up to three glazes, masking with tape and wax. Patterns are influenced by our garden and the qualities of materials.
