Sounds to me like Williams might be suffering from a case of impostor syndrome. I don't feel confident about the brand now, honestly. In each interview I've watched he keeps saying he's pinching himself and that he's always surrounded by the best artisans - of course, because he can't take credit for the foundation of the design or the masterpieces. After a couple of years working there he's still not directing his team like a designer or tailor would do ...he's just choosing pieces offered to him, he likes and placing his final seal of approval on it. His tailors are the ones with the only know-how of the study of a garment. they're the ones doing all of the work and deciding on the tailoring - Williams is simply calling the shots but still has a team of advisors to give him the what's what on the side at the end of the day. I've not heard any designer speaks to his team the way he does. Hemerely goes on to say everything's fantastic and that fashion is a big part of his life, but he can't discuss the art involved like an artisan. He's not inspired by the predecessors of LV. He is a musician. The position is given to celebs because they have status, but no foundation of the arts and classical art and the history of the house. Pharrell did not study fashion, but with 13 Grammys and an Oscar nomination, “everything he touches turns to gold,“ said Beccari.So, yeah, still not buying it, sorry. Literally. Glad I bought LV under Nicolas Ghesquière. People that aren't designers still aren't designers, I don't care what 'fashion sense' they may have or how the brand may want to position itself now. People spend years studying design and doing apprentice work for a reason. So long, LV. Next.

You're not buying history anymore. You're buying marketing. Consumers have become the guinea pigs of fast fashion and marketing ploys. LV isn't a luxury label anymore. It's become a statement for the nuveau riche. Here in France we don't like that shit.

im not inspired about anything i saw in this video. everything I saw is playing it too safe. hip-hop is more radical than what I see here. All I see is stagnation in this video. everything should be redesigned in terms of the cut. the bag pattern the suit pattern all patterns should be new and bold and radical. these designs are too mayo mayonnaise. Hip-hop is all flavors of hot source and barbecue source with a kick.
