It's a shame that until Fallout and Witcher many critics ranked Cavill as "talentless and only good looking" actor. I love that guy. I love him as Geralt. I had a lot of fun watching him on UNCLE. And I would love to see more of him as Superman.

True. The Royal Navy's capabilities were quite substantial in the 1960s. While not as large as the American supercarriers, the RN carriers were able to launch a respectable air group with superb aircraft as the Buc and the Phantom. The 1970s economic crisis really gutted the RN.

Well their royalty is German after all, the line of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha wasn't actually renamed Windsor until 1917. Added to that a somewhat significant portion of the populace stem from the Normans which were of course French. Having little ol' Boney score one for the british navy doesn't seem all that far off.

I would be torn between disappointment and excitement. I LOVE her as a villain, she has that STYLE, oh, and intellect to boot, something sorely lacking in villains these days, and while I would enjoy the idea that she actually did abandon ship, with the camera flashing back to her the second time just before impact cements the fact that she stayed on board until impact. But even if they somehow changed that, the shockwave an explosion like that puts in the water, would have killed her anyway, so... she is double dead. Sad... but true

being that water is incompressible, I do wonder if the ship mates overboard survived the blast. That looks to be a 40 lb military grade general, non-fragmentation warhead sending a blast wave through a wooden boat. I think not. They swam what? 6 meters at most? They would have to breath out all the air from their lungs, and maybe keep their head above water with their hands over their ears to prevent ear drums from bursting. But this is no guarantee that there won't be internal bleeding from gas in the intestines and stomach etc or that the airburst overpressure will be deflected enough from the boat.... I'm bored.

This whole movie is a worthless, vile, disgusting remake of a great TV show. The movie makers mauled the premise and the characters until there was nothing left of the originals. I don't know why this keeps happening over and over. People buy the rights to a novel or movie or TV show. Then, they completely revamp it in 3:12 to something new "to make it their "own". If they were so smart, they would have invented a compelling premise with compelling characters, which would have stood on their own without using an old product's title. This movie is like the New Coke of movies. Even worse, the so-called heroes are such despicable mental cases that they can't even qualify as anti-heroes. Please don't waste your time watching this movie. Instead, look for DVDs of the original TV series, which was a huge hit in its day.
