Absolute respect to this man and his colleagues. I have a very close family friend whose father committed a homicide/suicide, my friend lost both of his parents that night. We live in a very small town and he was horrified when he realized there weren't any local businesses that do this sort of cleanup (nearest was 3 hours away in a larger city). I ended up volunteering to do cleanup and basically forcing him to stay at my house. I knew his parents enough to call them friends and it was still a very... let's say uncomfortable experience scraping brain matter off the wall and ripping up carpet. I can't imagine what he would have felt if he had to do it. Again, mad respect to anyone in this field of work.

You get desensitized to it. Those horrors might still affect him from the subconsciousness without him realizing it. I've got experience of that, because I used to do work in a job in which I had to face the dark side of humanity. It felt fine by the time, perhaps because I had seen a lot since my childhood, but I started to have nightmares only after I stopped that work. I realized it had desensitized me to the level I was out of touch with my emotions and body. Sort of dissociating whenever I heard about something horrible and nothing really fazed me. Yet I struggled with normal life and I developed generalized anxiety and social anxiety disorders.

@@katiesimpson4514 Yes very true. For one to figure out why this has come to be, one should understand that systems and laws have and are purposefully being implemented to breakdown the human experience, to fragment it and cause it to deteriorated and become unproductive. In this way an easily manageable, non questioning, homogenous mass is created, with profits and misery being the end goal. I sometimes think, in a desperate attempt to understand things, that the kiddie movie 'Monster Inc' is an actual reflection of how the world is run; They literally need misery as fuel, caused by fear mongering. Seems all the more plausible given the past few years' chaos.

They know that there are no safety nets, nor laws or legislation to protect people when they ill treat us. They know that people are worked so hard, are fragmented as in we don't unite across our groups. We don't have more than just local community, if even that,. That means we are easy to subject to inhumane treatment without consequences, because we don't stand together to support each other, but also we are divided and cant fight them as one people. There is much truth in divided we fall, united we stand.

it doesn't, at least for me. I'm not cleaning the places, but I deal with the bodies from those places (occasionally, usually its just old dead people in retirement homes). I'm a student, so at the moment it's just for the money, but after a case like this you go take a shower and usually its out of my thought by then. I usually just deal with the bodies, the talks with the relatives does someone else, but it changes things when you first come in contact with their grieving loved ones. but usually i can just dissasociate, it's just "dead organic matter", nothing behind it. Sounds cruel, i know, but I guess that's how I cope with it anyways.

These folks are a different breed. As a cop, I attended many suicides. One, in particular, a fellow had wrapped his lips around a .303 Lee Enfield and pulled the trigger. He was sitting up against a wall and nothing was left of his head except for his lower jaw, which looked as if it was made of play-doo and seemed to have stretched out 18 inches wide. Anyhow, a suicide note was found (girlfriend dumped him) and the Medical Examiners office had cleared the scene after confirming it was an unsuspicious suicide, and I was left waiting for the cleanup crew. They arrived in button-up shirts and ties! Put on gloves and proceeded to walk around and collect up the dozens of pieces of skull, brain and skin as nonchalantly as if they there were picking up cigarette butts from their front yard....and the pieces were upstairs, downstairs...everywhere...as the head exploded with massive force and the parts ricocheted off of everything. Afterwards, they brought a stretcher in, loaded the poor guy, and were done. In and out in 30 minutes. This was about 04:00 in the morning. I asked these guys what they got paid, expecting it to be in the thousands....Like, seriously, who would willingly wake up in the middle of the night to perform such a task for less than 4 figures? The answer was about $100 (20 years ago)....they said they made the same for this type of job as they would if they had simply recovered a deceased from a nursing home....that they had to take the good with the bad to retain the government contract. Thereafter, whenever I thought my job was sucking, I remembered these two chaps. One-in-a-hundred thousand..... Gosh bless them.

such a kind, compassionate and reflected person. I think he is doing a really hard job with so much professionalism and heart. I am so grateful for those families that this guy is around.

Thank you for your services rendered to the deceased and their families 💕💖. I've seen a whole lot of death in my 44 years and compassion for the dead really does make a difference in how the family accomplishes some sort of closure. I had to go in and clean up my brother's apartment after he overdosed and laid there dead for 3 days and that really wasn't good for me mentally. It really was very hard emotionally to identify him right before cremation but I am very grateful that for the most part,he just looked like he was sleeping but his eyes were sunken in and that's when I knew for sure that his soul had really left his body 😔💔

Thank you very much. It takes a very special person to do something like this gentleman. He shows a lot of empathy for those close to the deceased and I'm sure is a better way person for that. God bless him.

He delivered responses so respectfully. For a job like that, that we are all morbidly curious about he was so well spoken.

I love these videos, because they give an honest depiction of the reality around us, that is sadly lacking in mainstream media. The news don't really cover how bad the drug problems really are, because it's not good press, and some outside people might be pressuring media not to tell it how it is in order to maintain property prices or to avoid bad publicity for politicians just as a few examples. But when a cleaner who's been doing this for 20 years, can tell you that he can literally see the increase from the number of overdose cleanups he has to do per day, it doesn't get more real than that. Drug programs and mental health programs really just seem to be tiny publicity stunts that are run in very small batches for very short periods of time, until they're no longer a prestige project and their funding gets cut until they die... Sadly, so many people who would benefit from those programs, die as a cause of it. Then there's outcry, another few programs pop up for some quick PR - Rinse and repeat.

His right ear is dormant in the shadows, starved in the darkness, like an exotic flower. However, his left ear has been struck by a beam of light and has pinged out and is in its full rosy bloom. Glorious!

This is so great, a true hero for humanity. My brother was stabbed many many many times in his abdomen by an ex in his sleep and cut his femoral artery and then stabbed herself, miraculously both survived she is unfortunately on the streets after a criminally insane hospital stay of only 9 months then released which is terrible and my brother has to still 30 years later deal with the trauma. My parents are morticians and cleaned his whole apartment which they said was the worst murder scene they have ever seen, working for a giant city also one of my parents was the city coroner so that says a lot. They did not want him to come home to that because he couldn’t move places because he was in the military. Thank you kind sir, you are giving a very scarce healing blessing that come from death to the families to reduce trauma and ptsd after the unthinkable.
