When first watching the episode this morning, I thought he was just in tune with the baby frogs and could sense them...even after he swallowed the first one, I thought he might be trying to keep them safe/warm and will spit them out later. Yep, looks to be a form of Krykna spider, although the ones in Rebel's had more of a beak to their mouthparts and seemed to withstand blaster bolts better.

That targeting sound from the X-Wing.....I never realized how much I missed that sound. Takes me back to the Battle of Yavin IV. But at the end, whe the pilots help clear the spiders. That blaster sound is from an Imperial issue E-11 ! Perhaps the Rebel Alliance helped itself to some much-needed weapon depots after ROTJ?

I can't wait to see more Boba Fett but I don't mind waiting. I really enjoyed this episode. The fleeing from the spiders scene really had me freaking out on the edge of my seat and i'm not afraid of spiders at all. It was done so well!

Those spiders are the same Krykna Spiders that the Rebellion in _Rebels_ had to fend off at Chopper Base with sensor beacons 😰😨😱!!!!! Apparently the reason Ezra couldn't make a Force connection with them at first is because they are highly sensitive to negative emotions, which makes them difficult but not impossible to tame 🤔.

7:20 Mando prolongs the "m" in "killed a Krayt dragon for him". That's ever so slight pride in his acomplishment shown through verbal speech :-). I love that! There are only so many things to work with when an actor's face is hidden(and in this case, body/arm position fixed), and they maximize every single thing. Good acting and directing!

If you watch the trailers you will see our frog lady with her husband carrying the canister ( hopefully there will be some eggs in there ). It was a scene at what looked like a dock with traders and merchants.

Nikki's face when the child eats that first egg was so priceless. She's such a mom. I love it. LoL I'm so glad the Filoni and Faverou are pulling from the Expanded Universe (what some call 'legends'). Because in the EU, Boba didn't die either. He fell into the Sarlacc pit but he didn't get digested. Just like with most animals, they don't digest everything they attempt to eat and bodies were falling into the SP rapidly at a rate that was faster than what it could digest. Hypothetically speaking, even if the Sarlacc had "eaten" Boba's flesh, it's also very feasible that he would have shat out the armor. I don't want to spoil anything as they may pull the rest of what happens to Boba from the EU also, but it's not a hard-sell or a stretch that a race of scavengers like Jawa's would come across his discarded armor at some point. Granted, not everyone is or needs to be a hardcore Star Wars-EU fan especially in this post-Disney Star Wars era so I get some of the confusion as to the "how" could Boba be back (c'mon, it's Sci-Fantasy. Everyone comes back. LoL) but what's not (or shouldn't be) confusing is the habitation of a scavenger species - they roam, they wander, they find, they take, they barter and they're hoarders.

It was hard not to be torn about baby Yoda this episode. On one hand he was being very naughty eating the frog lady's eggs. On the other hand he's baby Yoda, how could you be mad at him. This is visually the most impressive show on television without question.

I don't think Trask is in any previous cannon. It's a new planet, but I think it's that ocean planet that appeared in the trailer a lot of people thought might be Mon Cala. There is a shot of them walking on the dock where you can see the eggs on the back of Frog Lady. Also, the Asian X-Wing pilot is an actor named Paul Lee. He voiced Appa in the Last Airbender.

I feel bad for the Mother Spider...it was just minding her own business until the child came in and ate one of her kids. I know people hate spiders , but imagine if one of your kids were eaten, you reacted in self defense, and you were killed in the process of defending your kids.

Hello, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Those spiders were also on the Animated Series "Star Wars Rebel's" right! So, The Mandalorian crashed landed on Lothal. Because thats the only planet i saw those spiders on in the animated series. Of course Lothal being Ezra Bridgers Home Planet & if so, The Mandalorian could be getting closer to finding Ahsoka Tano & Sabine Wren (if the rumors are true).
