On The Mandalorian, you can at least use body doubles for Pascal whenever Djarin doesn't have to take off his helmet...so he doesn't have to be there all the time.

@@shrodingerscat8909 It easily has the best writing, directing and acting of any Star Wars show. It's largely dialogue driven and is a slow burn with large payoffs though. So if you're more into consistent action then it's probably not for you.

@shrödinger's cat ABSOLUTELY. Id say ANDOR is the best spin-off. Mando is good, Obiwan and Boba were trash in comparison. Amazing writing, acting, adhesion to canon etc. No easter eggs, no hokey nonsense, no nostalgia for the sake of nostalgia. Very VERY well done

I watched the first episode, and spent the entire time wondering "who are these people and why do I care", without those two vital questions ever being answered. It was probably the most boring thing I've ever seen in sci-fi.

To be honest it was nice to see a Star Wars story that didn’t have pre-existing characters doing huge, status quo changing acts. Makes the universe feel bigger. I liked it being more self contained.

I would have agreed up until the book of Boba Fett had Grogu choose Mando over Luke to be his first student. Now this inclusion of Bobu Frick or whatever his name is at 1:22 makes me realize, they aren't going to shy away from the disastrous sequels after all. Instead they're using Mando as a bridge between the OT and the ST.

Glad to know I'm not alone in that area of thinking, myself! Yes, the world of Star Wars may have initially started off on the big screen some 45 years ago, but IMO, it's the small screens, on Disney+ with shows like The Mandolorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and more, where the true focus remains!!!

Saved Star Wars from what? The Prequels? Those films had way better world building because they were made by George Lucas, the creator of the franchise. You should be thanking Lucas, not Favreau.

I would suggest Dave Filoni is just as important to saving the type of Star Wars we want (as opposed to the rest of Star Wars Disney wants to force on us)

There's barely any stakes in a show where the protagonist is impervious to 99% of the things people throw at him and obviously the literal baby isn't going to be harmed. That standoff scene in season 2 was unintentionally hilarious because even if the other guy drew first, it would've just deflected.

@@Tin9102 Those dome like cities are very much characteristic of the Mandalore that was seen in Clone Wars. They were intact back then ofc, but the similarities are still clearly visible.

Best part about it is that the place is probably still irradiated, we could be getting some chernobyl level stuff this season

She's had multiple opportunities to challenge for it but doesn't... She got upset that Darth Maul became leader. She could have challenged for it right there.... Mando took the title and was right in front of her. She could have challenged for it.... This trailer makes it look like her party is going to war with Mando's cult. Which puts them right back where they started.

Indeed, especially since to atone he must bathe in the living waters in the mines of Mandalore. Supposedly destroyed; however, in RL, large mines are never completely sealed and can exist through massive bomb raids.

The Empire bombed the living hell out of the entire planet of Mandalore, and Sunduri was destroyed. That’s why Bo Katan is on the move and out for vengeance. You see brief scenes of it in the s how I just can’t remember where.
